The Lost

                                                Innocent lifeless
                                       Pretty children rest in peace
                                             Let us pray for them

                                            The kids were victims
                                       The shooter was victim too
                                             Let's not put a blame

                                                 Exclamation sign
                                          Love family, love it right
                                        Don't loose, hug them tight

                                                  Dear educators
Part of the victims as well
                                               The lifetime tribute

                                           Mourn traveled the world
Burn by cause last on effect
                                               Careful in our steps

Why condense it down to God?
Isn’t life enough?

I LEARN I RECALL

                                          God's my first teacher
                                      Parents are second teacher
                                           third is of my school

                                         fourth's who all love me
                                       fifth's my true inner being
                                              I learn I recall

Monochromatic Monologue

She utters faint sounds,
I swear they're syllables,
But they sure aren't words.

Hidden behind veils,
Of succulent red flesh,
And rigid white bone.

Her "words" shatter glass,
But will never compensate,
For their lack of worth.
