No Chain, No Charm

In Unison-
~No Chain, No Charm~

United we own
Firm, full of finest goodies-
Our ground of freedom.

United we stand
Firm from failure and horror-
On the ground of strength.

United we pray
Faithfully with open mind-
Our bliss is assured.

Who Needs Haiku

We quarreled, argued, fought but she was unfair,
"Write me a poem then Shakespeare", she taunted.
Then threw pen and paper on the table as a challenge.

"C'mon Lover", she snarled trying to hurt me, "get busy."
I picked up the pen and tried to think of something to write.
I glanced at her and saw her victory already shining in her eyes.

"Try that thing you're always counting syllables over. Seventeen only.
You should have that crap down and ready by now."
No haiku would flow from my pen no matter how hard I pressed.

Realising for the first time that no one ever wins a quarrel, I paused.
I wrote for a moment, not needing verse or count or rhyme.
My poem for her was brief and cruel and compassionate and true.

I folded the paper and handed it to her. "You win", I said walking away.
On the paper I had written; I love you.

Secret Passion in Still Skies

Motionless Whisper
Silent splendour of the night

Swiftly and Softly

In the morning's hush
I'm the snowflake's tender touch
brushing hungry lips

Bee Milk

There is lime blossom
On my tongue lingering still
From our fragrant kiss

Lip to lip at the gate
The first invite to the bees
Brimming me with pain

It does not matter
Longs as the lime tree remains
Stars fall at your feet

Blossoms are stars' seed
Desire twinkles them like eyes
Where my passions feed

Silence then was bliss
Absence makes now silent pain
No stillness, no kiss

And one whole today
Of silence drift through the clouds
Lime thorn in my skin

I want now to taste
Lime blossoms in your embrace
Bee milk on my tongue
