STILL WINTER

Dead Winter Stray~ By: Poet Destroyer

Nearby paces, Combatants lost under the cemetery walls,
“Blessed Men and Heavenly Remedy Women of Ages,”
Feelings of dance at the beginning of nightfall,
Scenery of fire, sadness passing this history page,
In that distant curve, somewhere nears the sundown stream.
Far away from the vision of mortal eyes,
A child plays as beautiful and pale like the sunrise.
She plays on the coast this beautiful but pale, sun raised child.
Pursuing nature, in a hushed angelic lucidity,
“In hushed angelic lucidity!”
Fragile fastened, to those adequate bones.
Profound deepness beneath the snow winder dust,
Below the memoirs of her floating vessel,
Reminisces of water drowning down rivers and streams,
A shattered female kneels in salvation.
An anvil so heavy it troubles the mind.
Lost in profoundness, in what might have been.
What was, for a moment in this period?
The grimness of her weak vessel dwells.
A lifeless winter strays around.
An album so old and dusty,
A christening gown not ever embraced.
Infinite, the woman and pale child of sunrise,
Soften footfalls beating out the torments.
Countless nights seeing the day of unspoken headstones,
Feelings of dance will never rest this heartache.
Eternity, in a dance of unconditional need,
Their hearts unite as one...
A closing of mother and child…

Dead Winter~ By: Catie Lindsey

There walks Warriors in that graveyard,
Holy Men and Medicine Women of ages;
at night you can see their Spirits dance,
setting fire to history's pages.
In that far corner, up by the stream,
far from the eyes of publicity,
she plays on the shore, beautiful Raylene,
catching poly-wogs, in silent lucidity.
In silent lucidity.
Brittle now, those fine bones,
deep beneath the snow drifts of winter,
beneath the memories of her body afloat
down rivers and streams of Remember.
A broken woman kneels in prayer,
a heavy weight on a burdened mind,
somewhere deep in what could have been,
what was, for a moment in time.
The grayness of her frail body lingers,
in a dead winter of the unborn,
on page forty-nine in the family album,
in a baptismal gown never worn.
Together they dance, the woman and the child,
their soft footfalls pounding out the sorrows
of many days at a worn out headstone,
many dances to come, many tomorrows.
Together they dance, The Woman's Dance,
their hearts as one...
the woman and the child.

Goodbye, My Child

Where cradled canyons sing
Of ebony wood in the forest
There lies a gurgling spring
Where cockcrows sing their chorus
To the melody of singsong birds
There I’ve concealed my sensuous words
Filled with befitted signs
The saccharine whiff of my designs

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Where the fogs of night are fountains
Spills of glistened moon ignite
By distant silhouette mountains
We dance with passion of fight
Entwining ancient stance
Mingling hand in hand we dance
Till the mountains smile on high
Near and far we spring
To pursue the realest of dreams
While the world cries at its seams
Anxious in trouble to cling

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

To where the ridges merry make
From the beaks of wooden bright
In sparkly pools the ghouls awake
That scarce to stir our night
We watch for seekers down under
Muttering secrets in their soul
We bid them lucks of shivers
Dipping gently in
From reeds that hide a tear of a foal
Under the gentle rivers

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Far away she shall ever churn
The taciturn eyed
She’ll listen no more to turn
To the working mills beside
Or the scrubbing of the barn
May peace weave in her song
She shall wave in the yarn
To a haven known as Belong

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

For she comes, the mortal youth
To the wild realm of her truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only her tears be found

Elegy for Michael Jackson (4)

Refrain
You shimmering waves on the ocean blue
Dance not again, he cannot dance with you
You weeping forests where the winds wail too
Let your bright tears fall in the pool of dew
The world of pop will never be the same again
The king is dead, and life is a dream so vain.

Do you ask me why does my sorrow flow so
Endlessly for him? Is he not gone the way
Of men that many went before? O I do know
My time may not be long, and lessons delay.
Who do think was the man in the mirror? did
You see us there, did you know it oppressed him
When like wanton dogs drugged and rabid
Went heedless along the callous way being dim.

Look at the dance videos again, tell me
You see the what he begs to beat it. Off the wall
Are shadows falling like an inner expose
Where he internalized the world, and yet did call
In many songs - his troubled world was us
But now the king's sun set to dust, and we
Remain to heed and weep the vanity of lust
The tangled truths of out tentacled history!

Michael was God's gift to our season, and how I
Wish he would dance for me across the tribal plains
Of Africa again, where warriors ride in the sky
Through the fire make us brothers without chains
A global oneness where dreams deny the child
Nothing again. O death, what oneness beyond this
Can we find? Treat him kindly there, be mild
To him who in this troubled life knew no bliss.

Michael I miss you; O genius, sleep now in peace
The storms of life are over, the lightning ends
And droughts will come again, but I'll never cease
To proclaim your virtues to foes and friends;
Sleep beloved. Your glory stream in summer's eye
And Harlem's street are filled, old men remember
And old women interrupt their planning to cry
Farewell, Michael ... the grandest star is but an ember.

Another Day, Hope Returns

Another Day, Hope Returns

Another day,
sparrows still fly
death visits and we ask not why

Another night,
moon still glows
death visits, why nobody knows

Another morn,
sun still shines
death visits, clings like vines

Another fate,
shadows still flee
death visits, just not for me

Another life,
tomorrow brings
hope returns, heart now sings!

Note:
Blues sent a message, wake up..
I put down my empty coffee cup..
Flung the saucer out the back door..
that your worst, give me more..
Laughter slid across the lawn..
light then lit this great new dawn..

There is a place

There is a place you can go that is full of only love and Warmth .
you will be surrounded by a light that shines from the Heavens ,
Sprinkles of Silver and Gold.

This place is filled with brilliant colors of Purple , vibrant Gold, all colors.
not one Color is less significant then another ,
for every color is equal here .

This place is surrounded by the beauty of different Flowers.
All flowers have significance here . No one Flower is better then another .
All Flowers are equal here .

It is important you know , you can cry here , and should cry as often as needed .
For the tears will cleanse your Soul and give the Flowers water to grow.
No one Tear is insignificant here , every tear has value and not one is better then another .

money holds no value , Where you live , what you own, has no significance here .

You will be surrounded by a beautiful light that shines from the Heavens .
A shining warm light will encircle you and allow nothing to hurt you .
Hate will be shed at the door light a old jacket of no use.

There is a place of beauty and Worth.
This place will not be found on Earth .
It is a place where no one person is better then another .

Beautiful people

People make me smile the way
their eyes shine when they talk
about something they love
when they feed me food. Or tell
me how much they love me
when I look into someone's
eyes and see it I see that look
in their eyes I see love in them
When I see someone laugh and
have fun in what they do
The way they cry for there lost
ones
When they give me a smile and
tell me how beautiful I am
People are beautiful well some
are and I wish someday I can
find someone who will look at
me and say "you have that look
in your eye" what look?
"Happiness"
I want to find someone so
beautiful in the inside I can't
stay away they amaze me with
what they say an do how they
will dance in the rain and know
every detail about me
Will bring me Starbucks on a
rainy day and just talk about
the stars
I want someone beautiful

Archangel

Archangel

I sensed the dance of clouds and windy drawl,
fast moving marionettes of moonlight,
conceived they passed the crannies of the soul,
and intersected solitude forthright.

The dusk descended when 'Archangel' crossed
the sight of island men, remote like wraith
and huge the blackened ship's displacement bossed
the nautilus stunned stares and childhood's faith.

Monotonous the bagpipes led to trance,
- autonomous the ship's insistent horn,
invited us to some unworldly dance
the ship regaled; that stung our souls like thorn.

We danced inside the rain while ghost bag pipes
were interlaced by sea's baptismal notes,
- betrothal waved the blue and white flag stripes,
- like coffins cradled round the wooden boats.

Embarked were we, according to their song,
thence sailed infinity upon the brines,
tho' Harpies from the ghostly mists, along,
the Hades' treated us, communion wines.

I Feel Like Dancing

Drink me ill this pleasure still,
And cure me with your poisoned pills-
Before I lose all my strength,
But, oh! I lost that long ago!
Dreamily dancing to and fro...
With legs of lead and no feet to stand,
And a phantom partner to hold my hand
A languid trance and lulled Romance
To seize me whole in its expanse
Never I yield, though quite out of breath-
Drunkenly dancing in the Depths Of Death

Refrain:
You shimmering waves on the ocean blue
Dance not again, he cannot dance with you
You weeping forests where the winds wail too
Let your bright tears fall in the pool of dew
The world of pop will never be the same again
The king is dead, and life is a dream so vain.

O day most callous like the callous world, how
Did you come about? By whose love designed,
Whose genius bore him, gave him life? O now
Do tell us of his human coming, since maligned
It's oft forgotten that he was somebody's child
Context in a world where his skin was reviled:
And yet some marveled that he parted from it
To build a world different from base to summit.

Genius is a gift and not a choice, and he was all
A moment's glimpse of earth's troubled paradise
For Michael was not mere mortal he was our tall
Selves transformed to art, so nuanced to the wise
That understood how his dance moves were silk
Syllables of protest and regret, a symbol cocooned
In loneliness, a man pining for the rare social milk
Of happiness against a material breast, festooned

With a race unhappiness. He was more than we
Saw with naked eye, Michael was an artist true
Context in all our history. And yet his mortality
Was not less not vulnerable due to fame, a blue
Note then sing for him, remember this day's despair
How the fickle fans in fragile praise came again
Away from the media's maddening glare to share
This moment of dark our universal deluge of pain.

O Indiana, this is your son, O America this here
Is your native child, weep here ye poets, weep
For him, the poet of the broken soul, Let no tear
Leave a eye that's dry for the lullaby of his sleep
Come ye world that felt his charity, beg angels
Hear us and welcome him; Michael, forever we
Will keep our hearts beating for you, in citadels
Of shining peace when your songs bring memory.

Daddy

"Daddy" the way I call my father
The man who loves my mother
The man who gave life to me
And the man who will risks his life to protect his family.

He's not showy about his feelings
But I know he loves us unconditionally
He gets angry when his siblings were hurt
And he makes us laugh the way he dances and tells us jokes

Now..he left us already
His silly jokes, crazy dance moves now were gone
Coz he went to a far away land
In a place where hurt and sorrow has no place in man

I miss my daddy a lot
His voice,
His jokes,
His crazy dance moves
And his being father to us
I miss everything about him!

I know God has a plan
And I give everything into His merciful hand
Pls.take care ofmy daddy in heaven
Coz someday we'll see him again
And continue the sing and dance with him again...

he is leaving home

In great respect of the band I grew up listening to
as sure as Mom passed down Saturday Chores
for I had been chosen to scrub bathroom floors `

Yet a familiar sound would bring me to keep scrubbing
The red album, The blue album , The White album
Then .. Abbey Road , always remembering the sad look on
Ringo's face , something hard to understand underneath~

I get it now, what you were saying all those years ago ,
the many sad lonely tears , secret tears , secret fears
For Maxwell's Hammer was a real one . It wanted silence

Going back ..remembering when John Lennon died
I was in Arkansas saddened with the world .
Then seeing his face saying " Drag isn't it "
No .. this was not my hero in music and song .

he was a stand in hired William , he filled his shoes
bringing diversity to create so much beautiful music from loss

One left standing , alone;; grief struck on back cover ~
The other identity hidden, tried to be part of ..coming together

                            his world of secrets
He to suffers today , in fear , Faul~

Too many years gone by .let us tell the Truth. Let us be free
The very sad long and winding Road ~
Let us Bury our real Paul.

No more " Mystery tour "
                             No more fear
Let him be in peace ~

last dance

Last Dance
It was a beautiful day A day of celebration, a day of thrill It was the day of my sister’s 18th birthday The most waited day of a girl to be a lady and I? I was a girl that time and all I have to do is to Observe and cooperate And it was our most anticipated moment To witness that celebration and to witness our dear father as the first dance of my sister who was missing us for many years because of separation. Yet we didn’t know that, that would be the first and very last day of the year that we’ll see him His body was so thin His face looks sickly and heartbreaking He looks so different But he remained calm and at ease Michael Gan the first rose, He stands and overwhelmingly danced for my sister They turned and sway They dance like it was the last He was overjoyed Filled with different emotions Happy, touched, sad, missing us, and regretting His heart jumped over him He tries to catch his breath touching his own chest We hasten him to the nearest sickbay To salvage his life His precious life, my father Battling from death, loses his fight His eyes wide open, no air No movements, no smile because... It was his last dance

Smoke - Charades

Smoke (Charades)

Abaft the weather bent the time
outside the ship, around the shore
we saw its smoke, in airy climb,
to fumigate from now to yore.

The fume was rising from the two
tall funnels covering its shape
with darkened soot, while dead its crew
was calling us behind its drapes.

The smoke was dancing back and forth
persuading us to move and sway;
Ironic shined the star of North
reluctant breeze slid down the brae.

We thought it was the ship's horn or
three sailor ghosts that danced charades,
behind the smoke, our nightly chore
had mimicked them outside of Hades.

The soot was covering the land,
some scattered lights that blinked and cried,
diffused away at its demand
until forgotten, sank and died.

We followed thence, the engines' chug
to dance around two skyward lines
where hung the ship's torn island flag
and our charades that drowned in brines.

The Storm

And the storm calls to me in ways you'll never understand
A gentle call that urges my soul forth
The lighting guiding a path for my feet to walk
Between the stones and ash of all that once was
I stand in the echoing silence of the rain
It drops down upon my skin like the blessing waters of heaven
Soothing me, lifting the weight from my body
I feel at once as if I am home
Standing amid two dimensions
Caught between two skies - here and there
The night wraping around me in warmth
The gentle wind lifting me off my feet
Drops from the clouded moon washing away my body
and I am left just a soul, an essence
The storm calls me forth from beneath my roof
Beckoning me into its depth
I stand among the reeds in the basin
They dance and sway as if welcoming me
And I sway with them back
Caught up in the power that charges the air
That threatens to sweep me away
If the ground will just loosen its hold
The thunder rumbles a low welcoming growl
And I get pleasently lost within it
I am so small compared to its vastness
I close my eyes and succumb to the skies wishes
Rising higher until my feet no longer touch the ground
My fingertips touch the liquid color of the stars
A sigh drifts from my lips
There is no need of thought to stay afloat
There is no demand to breathe in air
No crushing weight upon my chest
As my lungs struggle to survive
There are no struggles here
I make my bed on blackened clouds
And give in to the call
The storm has claimed me as its own
It was such a struggle to stay upon the ground
When the storm would call me home

I am shy

I get nervous in front of crowds
my first words are usually shaky
I can stand straight but take a few steps
in a direction corresponding with that awkward moment
you realize
everyone is listening, interpreting, judging, sympathizing
just trying to understand
the first time I gave a speech was 6th grade
the teacher said its hard speaking in front of a class
who wants to try?
I got brave and took the spotlight
only to find I was blinded
and at a loss for words
show and tell was stress
I ate my silence
I just want to connect, on a grande scale
fast, quick, and easy
The only speaking that mattered
was my great grand mothers funeral
I was the oldest of a generation
I spent a while getting my thoughts down
what I said lasted only a few minutes
the words echo in my head
have been
and probably will till death
I want to lead a group into chaos
get everyone to dance
become wild creatures fleeting on our fairest fancies
seek joy and fearlessly love
express in a healthy way
be aware
I'm just trying to connect
I am shy

cursed to exhale

If i could exhale, really exhale,
To expire the rubble of the ages,
1000 years of dread off my belly,
and my fingertips once so dainty
then could grasp stars and not burn,
I dig my face into the dirt and find eternity.

i gazed into the jackals eyes and he spoke to me from eternity
he said "follow closely so that i might teach you to exhale
and maybe dear in return a smile upon your face will burn"
an expression lost on my brittle jaw for ages
so i walk upon the crust of the earth now bruised and dainty
yet i feel growth between my toes and swelling in my belly

woe does bewilderment plague me here, tearing up my belly
then a soft green garden snake cradles me into eternity,
i watch her curl and dance across the soil of this dainty
room, she looks back from her slither reminding me to exhale,
have i been lost for all these ages?
or have i simply been afraid to burn?

and thus so is it my place to burn?
for i feel welcomed and smooth yet i have poison in my belly
and tomorrow i will remember the pain of the ages
may i retain the knowledge of eternity
or become bodily again when i exhale?
or have no question that my thoughts and ideas are dainty

i have visions of my presence siting crossed and dainty
breathing barley and quiet as i burn
surrounded by a castle of tones that bring me to exhale
into the mouth of god and back into my belly
i feel my self escaping and gasping for eternity
coming back down to the end of my ages

i could sit and cry for the death of the ages
but this life i despise growing and rooting, dainty
yes, paltry no, and tattering for the rest of my eternity
yet i recall the jackal and his feet where the earth does burn
and i miss the poison in my belly
it not escapes me, but it crusades me to exhale.

before and after the ages, the world will burn and my body will lie dainty
on the ground filling her great belly with the poison of eternity cursed to exhale.

Trip Twist

In the void, sipping the zoid,
with mental properties of tripping on the spiral.
Falling down the tail of lions, awkwardly spinning.
With upside down tunnel vision leaking through.

Solidifying all matter that matters,
melting into the walls of your brain.
It tickles all the raindrops dripping in your eyes,
satisfying your desire of a synchronized pattern.

Bleeding purple from the rainbow,
and turning into swirls of diamonds.
Slipping exuberantly beside you; driving you wild.
Where the shadows stop the spirited scream.

Devour yourself into the omniscient grip.
Icy cold finger tips scratch the surface of your divinity,
bringing you closer to the God who whispered in your unborn ear,
situated in your flesh from birth to death.

It embeds itself in the pupil of your eye,
dancing with your spirit and licking your soul.
Black shapes of madness wrapped in chaos and euphoria.
Twinkling and blinking dust of a cloud.

Haze filled skies and blood filled smoke raining from the clouds.
Envisions of clowns and demons laughing at our demise.
Chilling sensations of sickening mannerisms,
mechanisms and mechanics sought out to destroy the tiny creatures.

These creatures running crazy into acceptance of demise.
Deprived of life, scared of death but giving into it's taste.
Taste buds quiver as the taste grows sweeter.
Death, oh death, tell everyone who you really are...

Too long have you been hidden in the shadows you cast,
too long have we rendered your pain.
The world grows sicker as the hairs in my head grey.
I'll never surrender as demons always circle.

Today, begins a new day of our fight.
And I have a good feeling about this day.
Onward, we have united our minds and gathered ourselves within.
Always ready for we accept our fear.

We accept our hate and everything in between.
Accept it all for what it really is.
No amount of doubts will over throw us.
Onward, to peace.

Unknown

Who am I?
Am I defined by what is near in sight?
Am I defined by what I have done,
Or am I defined by what I could become?

Perhaps I'm of no use.
To him, or her, or I, nor you.
Or perhaps I'm too misunderstood to be defined,
And it is something like understanding that comes in time.

And if to the world I'm never shown,
Yet in my own light I've grown and grown,
And so I can know no happiness but my own--
The reason for my smile, to you, will forever be unknown.

I do not pray for the world to know my name.
For it and verse; the letters are the same.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads,
I pray his pain my words to keep.

Should his eyes rain on my page,
Better tears than storms of rage.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads.
I pray his pain my words to keep.

And if to the world you're never shown,
Yet in your own light you've grown and grown,
And so you know no happiness but your own.
Let the reason for your smile, to you, only be known.

Sin

Sin's a siren. Sin brings pleasure
A tempting fruit grows from that tree
Within its walls there is a treasure
Of pain and death and agony
And though its hosts are always killed
Its appetite is never filled
So they dance the dance of catacombs
With ghosts and ghouls and dead mens bones
What a party that must be
Boring worms quite literally

I simply love being me for I am so good at everything step into my city and they will tell you who is King one day when I am hungry I will swallow everything then and only then shall I inherit the stuff I dream even then I promise not to settle for satisfaction at any instant half a second I could spring into full action so go against me? please, you do not even measure up to half of the goodness that I hold tight like my treasure still spreading rumors about me to try and destroy my life can't believe I let myself get beat by a stripper and my self-intended knife try and say I'm gay even though we both know that isn't the truth just ask any woman I been with if they ever needed proof they'll say I was the cream of the crop as they took it all night knowing I just may never stop I own the status of a legend now what you got left to say when I bring it twenty-four seven?

Work

Work.
Toil.
The pain I put in the ground.
For such a precious thing.
Corn.
The family enjoys their meal.
They plant their leftover kernels.
And wait for me to tend to them.
Work.
An endless cycle in which happiness is born.

Demon In My Closet

There is a demon in my closet and it is safe to say
I have kept him there safely, each and every day
Asking about his words, I thought I heard him pray
He laughed openly stateing he was always hearing me play
I followed, I listened I leaned over to his ways

It turns out he's here over an angel and a wish of keeping me gay
Saintan is forever listening to what becomes my fate
The doors still closed as softly as that horrid divorced decay
But he was not wearing my brand, a mark of forever may it stand
He had choose to turn the other cheek, to find a higher point of understanding

Something more suitable than just a standard branding
A mark of a book, a devils open handing
A demon to help me through troubles and fears
A someone there when all I have left is openly flowing tears
He jesters, he peers, he jokes, he steers
But I think my favorite time is where leers

A Dead Man can not Dance

I am long ago gone
Deep in the ground
Dancing days are long lived memories
I never could dance

Long ago though
I danced a love dance
With such a musical embrace
I was a taken away to the heavens

Love is no more
My heart danced out the door
Now I rest dead and underneath
All the dancing flowers

St. Vitus Dance

The staccato stammering of bass guitars
punctuated the flash of strobe lights.
Limitless vistas of black and gray;
smothering the crowd in ghoulish poses.
Framed, as if frozen, in a glow of acid white.
Some stagger, their movements mimicking,
the rigors of death or birth?
Others jerk puppet like
upon invisible, randomly clipped, strings.
And, as the music grinds to a halt,
driven by the apocalyptic pace of the Disc Jockey,
and the hard scratching sound of synthesizers;
the charmed, trance dancers disperse;
swallowed whole by the shadows.

*St. Vitus's dance was a social phenomenon
that occurred primarily in mainland Europe
between the 14th and 18th centuries;
it involved groups of people, sometimes thousands at a time,
who danced uncontrollably and bizarrely.
Men, women, and children would dance
through the streets of towns or cities,
sometimes foaming at the mouth
until they collapsed from fatigue....and the beat goes on....

William part 1

I ask all to be open minded as I tell the story of my friend, William .
There are so many prejudice in this World , from color to sex

To me it has always been the soul , the person inside
For one that is shallow will not experience life in true blessing

William my friend was African American , he was fun and personality full of 'I am here "
William was Gay , William disowned , William called "A queer "

Well this is a lesson for all to know
God does not care what color , but the heart , what color it shows .

I had left my 1st Husband , with 2 children I had to support .
I was depressed , felt alone in the civilian World of a sort

For when I got to Monterey bay , I was on a Military base
Very shy and recluse , not leaving the perimeter of the land
I opened such a big door when I left that abusive Man

I had the tiniest apartment with 2 little rooms , probably 550 sq. feet I presume .
I will never for get the night He came to my door , William ," Girl, lets go dancing
Let's go explore ! He called me 'The platinum Blonde "

We went out together and danced , he was amazing ! William energized any room . He Lit it Up !
For he had something inside his beautiful soul , no money could buy, nor silver or gold.

Well years went by in Monterey bay , I had fallen in love with a man , Lost so much time .

Time went by , after the man broke my heart ,I remember "where is William "
I missed something that lies deep in my heart . The true Love and friendship of he I craved .

Now this story is long so go to "William part 2 "be patient , be brave .

IF EXISTENCE IS AN ILLUSION OF REALITY

Like trees extending and rising,
there's a sameness in our being...
to grow under a nurturing sun
'till we reach our end and begone!

If existence is an illusion of reality,
less thought is given to mortality;
and engaging in song and dance,
who expects fate to pull a prank?

As clouds appear to cover cerulean spaces,
rain is anticipated: our first reaction is fret,
and by freezing smiles, we expect the worst;
why be afraid of something that amazes?

There's no cessation to relentless fear,
and so denial persists to block senses;
what's the true purpose of being here:
to exult ourselves and our ambiance?

compeling leather's

At what cost rags to riches splashing blind falling in trenches
Cladding poor country king’s taking the life of the owner
Will they come for yours Clicking to social dictated schemes

Millions of shoes entreated better they where kept out of the weather
Maybe to be a S.S. belt, sheath or hat maybe a child will walk
Unknowingly a mile in my shoes the Lord knows their destiny
Like high leathery hills in store kept so many feet out of the weather
Carnivorous minds eat up my people for my rags they contemplate
They lie in wait if they would have asked I could have given
Two miles to late the atrocity millions of leathers
They march no more
They walk no more
They dance no more

Indian Summer, Part III

The winds of Winter wait,
Whispering to me of the approaching future,
But still far off, biding their time
Until this span of light and warmth has lasted out its stay.

     Meantime, I engage myself in taking stock;
Compiling the days that define myself to myself
Enlarging the catalog so far as I can,
     Building up a narrative.

So many memories
Like fireflies in a Summer's night
Flash through the dark spaces of my mind.

Childhood: Flash
                            Youth: Flash
Young Parenthood: Flash
                                         Empty Nest: Flash.

Family, friends, events
Joys, sorrows, beginnings, endings -
All make their flickering passages;
All paint their images onto me

     The particles dance and shift
     Cells die to be replaced
The face in the mirror becomes my father's
     Molecule by molecule
     With each passing instant.

     The particles dance and shift
Moving back towards the dark unknown
     From which they came,
Yet somehow in the midst of it
     The I that was
                              And am
                                            And shall be
Remains to watch the long parade unfold.

And that parade, banal and fantastic,
Marches past that inside window where I watch to see myself pass by,
As some newer self shall do the same through all tomorrows
Until the day when all the marching stops for me -

     And then, my fellow marchers,
     O my many, varied Loves,
     On that last Winter's day,
     Where will we be,
     Where will we be?

     What musics shall we hear?
     What wonders might we see?

Falling into a death trap

Im falling, im falling into a death trap, my blood covers the dance floor, i cant take much more, im falling, im falling into a death trap, my blood covers the dance floor, i cant take much more... because i cant be who you expect me to be, because i fail still to be what I want to be... im falling, im falling into a death trap, my blood covers the dance floor, my feelings are off to shore, and they wont come back no more.

Gardens Grey

Pardon my Gardens; they're withered and grey:
Unkempt and wild and quite defiled
Given my odd and reclusive ways:
Eccentric is my fashion style

Look at Life through special glass:
I see it all now magnified
But my gardens grey, my cage, alas!
Damn society- be defied!

You should truly be in pictures,
You were born for it, you see:
Nevermind your fear and stricture;
What a starlet you would be!

Come and visit my grey gardens:
Bring your cameras; we will talk
Mother and I have long been hardened
By the way the others balk!

Jackie O. was in the know,
And embarrassed by our home
We let her in since she was kin
Though we sought to be alone

I am Edith Bouvier Beale,
A model once I was
Did cabaret 'til my dying day
When the flies began to buzz

There was once

There was once a young dancer
Who was recovering from cancer
She wanted fame
but her leg was lame
So people called her a prancer.

I know it's really mean and sad but I had this as homework
and I honestly couldn't think of
rhyming words and than I just thought of this.

Dancing In Death

I dance in death to overtures of Bach
In the background violins softly play,
Body and mind start slowly to decay
Hear the tick, tick, ticking of midnights clock.
In death, in death; 'tis such a sweet scene,
Bach fades into the midnight hour.
The ending of song in all its power,
The beauty of death; ‘tis but a dream.

How could I dream that death is so sweet,
Oh, life why don't I cry out for thee?
I never knew death had honor and pride
'Tis a new beginning for a life complete.
The closing of mine eyes has made me see
Play on dear Bach, let me dance by your side.

LAST DANCE

“This hospital room is a prison cell!
Why can’t I die in MY bed, take me home!
Sweetheart, don’t cry. I didn’t mean to yell,
But to sit here and wait? I’d rather roam!”

“Let me gaze at the dusk! Enjoy a steak!
Watch a football game or drive to the Falls!
Death is a moron, he made a mistake!
And for just one more day, I’d beg and crawl.”

“Take care of yourself, Dear, don’t live for work,
Life’s too short, those ‘golden years’ are a lie,
Be kind to strangers, but ignore the jerks,
Take time to laugh, because the days will fly.”

“Where did I put my pen? No. Don’t bother,
My mind’s a muddle, the puzzle’s too hard,
This crossword book I’ll tuck in my covers,
Forget that checkerboard, that deck of cards.”

“I’m tired of this dumb game,” he then said,
Carefully, I asked, “What game is that, Dad?”
His look sent darts. “Don’t toy with the near dead!
I’ve fought a good fight, gave all that I had.”

I looked in his eyes, saw pride, love and fear,
“Dad, would you like to dance, right here and now?
I know in that gown, I might see your rear,
But keep it slow, and you don’t need to bow.”

“Chip off the block,” he extolled, then guffawed,
“Help me up, Buttercup. This I can do.
Yes, I’m weak, but I can still shake a paw,
Of course, you nilly, I will dance with you.”

We moved together and he held me tight,
Slowly we shuffled, my father and me,
“Hey,” I whispered, “don’t be scared of the night.
It’s just a doorway to eternity.”

He held me closer. “How’d you get so smart?
My daughter, my life, you do what you can,
I leave happy, for you have a good heart,
Just promise, you’ll remember your old man.”

*In honour of my father. I do remember my old man, and often, Dad. This is a compilation of the conversations we had in the last few days he had in palliative care, and yes, I did dance with my dad the day before he died, and yes, we joked all the time. When he said, "I'm tired of this game." I was worried I was misunderstanding him, since he'd been working on crossword puzzles and we'd played other board games. It is one of the hardest conversations I've ever had in my life, saying goodbye, trying to reassure someone who was always the strong one. It is also one of the most precious memories in my life.

My Date with Death

It's closing time,
I have left the lights on
and the door ajar;

I have set the table
and poured the best wine,
There's music
in the background
and fragrance in the air.

It's closing time and
I am all dressed up
and ready to swing.

O Death, come on in,
Bring your cheers and
bring your good times too;
There's a mood of
festivity and celebration.

Have the last meal on me,
Have the last drink on me,
Do the last dance with me
And oh, gather me in
your eternal embrace!

Dunnages creaked

For one odd week we sailed towards Azores,
a strange route was on new, parallel lines,
I heard your hoarse voice saying from the brines,
"be careful of the Southern stars".

Three winds' gust-demons danced on iron wood,
foolishly we joined them drinking the grog,
I heard your voice from the insides of fog,
"north stormy winds thump on the hood".

We danced and danced with death tracking on sight,
his ghostly vessel floated in distance,
we laughed at his macabre contrivance,
- with illuminated deck's lights.

Dunnages creaked, and then I swear, I heard
your eerie voice to express a verdict,
"the vessel's crew should depart derelict,
- embark in boats and be deferred."

I heard the reef rock shattering the bilge,
the vessel heeled to starboard, cut across,
destined to lie on sand and seaweed moss.
with our souls close to her effulge.

We passed that night above our homes' roadsted,
dancing and drinking through our way to hell,
you heard our fog horn weeping and bow bell,
signal from mists that we were dead?

My Forbidden Lover

Darkness my forbidden lover
I shall let light go
Shamelessly deeper fall
Into limbo's arms; seductress

Allow cold breath and hands to feel me
Touch willingness in the witcher's dance
One bite and the spell of soul is cast
Unto binds of novels; eternal pages "The Devil's romance

Darkness my forbidden lover forwith I know thee
Black conspirator burning out my hurt
For my weakess broken thus
Is that I never read thy endings first

So, just another taste of kiss taboo
For reasons each one, more bitter than the last
Affairs of hearts and seasons careless ever fleeting
Sprung the forevermore condemnation trap

The Olde Shoppe Bell

I hear the bell like ex-wives voices nagging
Hanging, beneath the olde shoppe door ringing
When someone enters through
They have and I do
A swift little dance and a more ridiculous jig
To that stupid and silly sounding thing

Every time I hear it, it echoes in my head
As if far fetched fantasies
An ominous figure the tiny brass is introducing
In the black trench coat to appear instead
Along with hat that eclipses his face
There he'll be, standing
Eyeing all from beyond his place

Patrons inside slow turn in sync trembling in fear
As if death were choosing its next victim "right here"
It wouldn't be long before I could no longer hold on
From hysterics and laughter outward and in directions forthwith

Toward the harbinger announcments of cruel intentions
As the next candidate bound on hell train's transportion
And beneath the door prodding sounds once more
That stupid bell again starts ringing
And I'd think to myself " surely no angel has gotten their wings"
So under my breath laughing, then jump heel clicking, dancing a more ridiculous jig

RAVENOUS ELDRITCH WRATH a collab with Olive Eloisa Guillermo

RAVENOUS ELDRITCH WRATH

The darkening skies in choir of wrath;
The wind brisk banging blows;
The withering of trees;
The falling twirling leaves;
The branches sudden irate tweak and split.

Giving way to the rushing threat of death
Will another candle die in it's final flicker of light?

From afar

High hasty orisons a gong in melancholic play
Voice of mournings didn't save the day
Only shrills that echoes in elevated ebb

Sullen faces white as powdered chalk
Sprung to view when moon casts its glow
Bloodshot eyes a plague ready to pierce and blow
Dark coloured lips close and open to rumble slow:

"Sacred candles. sacred flames. Aid the magic I name.
sacred candles. sacred flames. Aid the magic I name."

Again and again they chant-
As they go round and round
Stopping awhile to kneel
Then raise their hands up in the air.

[their shadows sleek as serpentine hiss
casting chills in the catacombs' wall]

On the centre...

A blindfolded lady in white hangs on logs of X
Her tied arms spread left to right
Her legs set apart but truss tight

Down to where the log stands
A black man half-naked in mask holds a whip
Slashing it side by side in quick thunder thudding trips

A quietness abounds as the chanting stops
This eerie eldritch silence eating into the night
She of the above allows rays to glisten:
"Moon of the dark, tranced faces listen"

I of the numbered, tattooed, scribed, scored
Command you to stand, heathens, my horde!

Silence is shattered by the cracking of his whip
Lacerating white linen, now in reddened seep
Cries turn to howls, the beating of this beast
Joyous dancing tongue, rasping at this feast

Faces now morose. Excitement high! Incite
Darkened desires in crave, this mooned night
Slowly he walks towards this writhing tethered
Taken, she will be forsaken. Feathered!

His hands against the X, his face leans
Asp tasting, touching drawing red
Dressage of white, now cast, her flesh
Hungered, undaunted, heathens chanting

"Sacred candles. sacred flames. Aid the magic I name.
sacred candles. sacred flames. Aid the magic I name."

Now taken, clouds drift amidst cobalt blue
An empty soul lies listed, under darkened hue
Spores now carried, bedded, soon they'll born
Every one a number, forever they'll adorn
Heathens, oh! chanting ones, bow, now sworn

I of the numbered, tattooed, scribed, scored
Bow, chant, blindfolded, taken, your now adored.

Your Vanity

Misery weighs down your eyes, as you begin to read.
In this dance of lies, you'll forever lead.
If you can't stand, I'll see you on the other side.
Take my hand, for now the son has died.
I'll reach under the skin, and steal away your disease.
I'll fight and win, as Death becomes a tease.
I fell into fantasy, as I feel your touch.
Swallow your vanity, for you cry too much.
The string of white lights, a full moon casting.
The shadowed nights, are never lasting.
Forever wandering, these cold dark seas.
The world squandering, crying the harshest pleas.
The voiceless won't rest, as they continue squalling.
On this endless quest, I continue falling.
Fall children, dance with every death boy and girl.
The monster will fight again, yet we're all so coy.
Lets fall to our knees, and begin to pray.
Do they hear my pleas, down together we'll lay.
Unrelenting omnipotence, nuturing malevolence.
Angels and Demons, bow before the other.
The unknowing sons, begin to kill their brother.
Leave for me, the crumbling headstones.
Ignore and leave me be, for death has shown.
Leave me to sleep, in this desecrated sanctuary.
In these dreams I weep, yet I tarry.
Will you be my love, will we watch the world burn?
What are the thoughts of, for the dead forever yearn.
No I don't want to die, no not tonight.
I can no longer try, I don't want to fall into the light.
As I climb the stairs, I reach toward the stars.
The heart tears, as it feels the scars.
I begin my ivy climbing, for the voiceless call.
It's the matter of timing, for who will begin their fall?

Hands Awake

Hands awaken! Speak out! Answer to sacred shouts,
subterranean whispering, to stars above rooftops—
thread sunlit branches with the chattering of a thousand leaves.

If fluxes and urgencies of confusion or death
should drawn you into your self-box, I say,
remember when one constructed self-prison fell away.
However you helped this forward,
do more of the same.

Be rain-hands, weeping, steeped in earth fragrance.
Be fingers in blossom, faces turning upward,
loves innumerable, rough-cut bedazzled—
unafraid to be splayed open.

Be pocketed hands, released to the welcoming wind—
multiplying there in mid-air,
riding the four directions.

Be hands of smoke and fire, descending and ascending like ragged bird-song—
effulgent, double-charged with surprise
and now even with mock surprises.

Start at the beginning, where you are.
Don’t be satiate with loll-lolling
recede wave’s tide, retreat back and back
into yourselves, until grown utterly intellectual and lumpish!

Now, you Human Being—you come awake also!
Sweep the furnishings from table. Upend the table lawlessly.
Bring the muscular, fleshy, feminine against the masculine and muscular.
Bring the masculine to the feminine. Bring friend to enemy,
estranged neighbor to the confidant. In a dance of pressing hands,
let subtle conversation play.

Ring all the tiny bells.
Stir the King and Queen of Remembrance.

In over-arching restraint, holding back one iota, so pure notes sound—
bring sunburst, sphere and harmony.
Make your entire body a listening board
forming therein—tender shape around which love
seed unfolds infinite spaces and then…

Spring awake! All to better dreaming
where hope and faith are undashed, not this dying.

O, hear me now! Hands, every which one of you,
with every human—never again sleep,
never abandon!

An Affair with Death

I knew I was gone when I went into the sleep..
There was no guilt or pain insight..
I’ve never had an affair of the heart.. of mind, body and soul..
The comfort I felt was beyond words from my mind...
And I was destined to fall under his spell...
The fire I felt on my skin began to rage..
I became like an animal in a cage..
Every time I drew back, he pushed me forward..
I could feel his arms embrace me like no other,
His strength overpowered me and breathing became a necessity..
I gasped each time we danced the dance..
I could feel life’s breath leaving my body..
As he held me tighter and tighter..
I have never known such ecstasy as I drew each breath as the last..
Don’t know why I gave in so easy, temptation is not one of my virtues..
I’ve always weighed the pro’s and cons..
Who is this man of many tricks that I would succumb to him ?
I am smarter than this I thought in one lucid moment..
Be gone I said.. leave me alone I do not want to follow you..
All you want is my soul... and I am not ready...
When I am I will call you....

PS. This was a recent experience I had in the ICU...

A June Night in Rotgut Saloon

A June Night in Rotgut Saloon

In walked Lefty Red behind him lay many dead
into this old dusty town his tired horse had tread
Well known his draw was quick as lightning
his stare deadly cold and so very frightening

Stranger where is the nearest watering hole
getting drunk and riled up is my goal
Ahead 120 paces is our old Rotgut saloon
enter there and you'll get your wish soon

Lefty Red , cold, bitter and as hard as granite
entered and saw a scene like he had planned it
Crowd was loud, rowdy as hell and so very drunk
beer and whiskey flowing , an odor foully stunk

Give me a beer and two shots of your best redeye
send over that sweet blonde philly that I spy
Barkeep did exactly as he was very sternly told
That philly's man was none other than Billy Cold

Billy Cold that had 7 carved notches on his gun
even once cut a man slowly to death just for fun
The stare sent a hard and well understood reply
want this har' woman , get her , jest you try

Lefty Red knocked down whiskey shots and his beer
spun around to show a fastdraw rig , he had no fear
Billy wasted not a second to make his best play
drawed his 45 to make that insulting Lefty Red pay

As his hammer was so very quickly cocked back
his ears heard a loud booming pistol crack
A huge hole suddenly tore open in his chest
a mistake, for Lefty Red was always the very best

Body was calmly , swiftly and carefully taken away
nothing new, this was like just about any other day
Lefty told the piano man to shut up and play a tune
time for the pretty saloon girl and getting drunk soon

Townfolks remember so very well that hot June day
Lefty Red had tested Billy Cold and made him pay
Forty-five slug and justice had caught up with that man
as Lefty Red had for seven, long searching years planned

A Teardrop Away

I hear a hawk cry to its mate
Takes me back before "too late"
Lonesome lyric desert wind
Sings me into your arms again

How I wish that it could be
not just a dream but flesh & blood reality
Gone but not forgotten, you will always be
just a teardrop away in my fondest memory

The whisper of the wind brings you back again
to dance among the shadows of my heart
Thunder echoing down the hills
I hear your voice so close it chills

Lightening dances cross the sky
recalls the laughter in your eyes
Suddenly we're once again
Dizzy dancing in the rain

Gone but not forgotten, you will always be
just a teardrop away in my fondest memory
The whisper of the wind brings you back again
to dance among the shadows of my heart

Gone so swiftly without goodbyes
but I know true love never dies
As I kneel at this headstone
I know I will never walk alone

For you'll always live within my heart
guiding me from the deepest part
Gone but not forgotten, you will always be
just a teardrop away in my fondest memory

The whisper of the wind brings you back again
to dance among the shadows of my heart

A Moth's Waltz

A moth flutters close to the flame,
only to dance a waltz of death.
Blinded by the fire's false beauty,
it surrenders to temptation's breath.

In the soft glow of a flickering light,
wings burn from the wicked heat.
The hungry flames lick their lips
for the flying chunk of meat.

A few caresses from burning fingers
seals the poor moth's fate.
The dance ends with death's embrace,
but the lesson is learned too late.

Jamaican Elegy For An Intellectual (Rex. R. Nettleford) Part II

Tirelessly rising, like cerosee tea to them, and apple to me
Tell them I am the Sankofa of the morning, shall we dance again
I was the Nightingale Midas could keep in the cage, the new sea
To sail, the festival beyond the extravaganza of old pain
Trim sail and bottle torch, but never weep with dry eyes
Bring flag and Mframadan down the pole and skies
Tell them the river journeys on, it comes for me
I am its harvest, I am its fruit, I am its Gethsemane.
                                          ii
You young ones must away from your rage to my age tree
Take this stick of light, this magic of wisdom, this bright sage
Carry him like an argument to Pharaoh’s face and so see
Deliverance from the bloody seas of dumb guns and carnage
Let us dismantle the sorrow of ignorance, the need that chains
Us to the deaf ears of our broken and eternal complaints
For this native son, this black beautiful scholar was our wage
And from this griot and dancer we take the lessons of our age.

And always may I remember I am only a branch, I belong to a tree
Bigger than my baobab of dreams, I drink from where roots draw
The sweet water of revival, and quenched my thirst for history
And boons of culture. Always I now write for us, I write our law
Yet tongueless tongue-ing in Babel’s callous kingdom
Belly grinder, I rise to dance in new sheaves of freedom
The whip crack on black backs the sun could not dim
Cannot stop the clutchie smoking memory of him

Hollow Puppet

Hollow puppet dancing on her strings,
Fear, fear please don't trim her wings.
Crumple down to hard dirt floor,
Never, never to dance any more.

Limbs this way, that way thrown;
No movement truly her own.
Dark, empty all around,
No purpose, value anywhere found.
Meaning escaped,
Fear evaporate.

Hollow puppet dancing on her strings,
Begging, desperate, please trim her wings.
Pain, pain go away,
Let me dance no more this way.

A DANCE UNTO DEATH

When the deafening dead drum beats pierce the air
Strong echoes reverberating through the mind
With its soul-shaking sensations
And mind-maddening melodies
Halting the hisses of hateful hearts
Even as it was, is the noblest act
Flowing freely from a free fair spirit.

...The sweetest poison is brewed
The most attractive trap is laid
A death so dearest is designed...

Smothered is the mind's sane judgement
Compromising the heart
Standing the soul for a dance
A dance so macabre yet thrilling
A dance so grave yet exciting
A dance performed less conscience and reasoning
A dance unto death.

Masquerade of Lies

Welcome to the Masquerade Ball
Your mask is a cover for all your lies
I told you that to this dance you were not welcome
No extension of invitations did you receive
I will unmask you and you will stand in the center for all to see
Your words are meaningless
You will lie down in the pile of lies you have created
Let us dance so I can be close to you
Grab your mask and embed my fingers in order to deface you
I will drive a stake through your heart
It is cold and has no life in it
I will eat it for I hunger for vengeance
Your cold and lifeless body left in the center of the room
Ballads and a waltz danced in your name
Twirls around you as you lay in your bed
Beheaded and placed on a plate
Posted on the mantle as a trophy
We will feast on your remains
A celebration for all to enjoy
 Lies you wish to tell
A consequence you will pay
Welcome to the Masquerade Ball

Never Letting Go

Do you dance upon my grave?
That silken flesh moving like waves.
Do you sing to the heavens?
The grace of you're voice formed to leaven the gloom.
With you're smiling face.

I would dance up on you're grave.
As agony raged like waves.
I would sing to the heavens.
For your soul to follow the way.
You'd see my smiling face.

The earth rotates.
And yet their worlds had stopped.
How unfair it all seemed,
when love had always been a dream.
But through a favored song,
they would forever connect.
Such as the will and promise.
Of equal empath loves.

Humming Bird Dreams

I smile as it seems to be,
The wind came to play with me.
 For i lay in bed,
Ill for what seems like forever.
I cannot move or dance myself,
So the wind and my dreams dance together.
I watch as the humming birds made of lace,
 come alive before my eyes.
I love to watch the sweet caress,
Of the lacy blinds against the open glass.
I love to watch as my dreams take me,
Dancing me out my small window
To the open land and tall trees,
To the light in the skies,
And the smell of the seas.
I laugh as i slip away into my dreams,
Now i can dance for myself.

The Fate of Ancient Egypt

Warriors are no longer raging,
Women are no longer singing.
Firelight prances inside Seth's eyes,
dancing over Giza he cries:

"Fire! Fire! It will find you all
Even those who refuse to fall,
So even if you escape my deadly chant
Your ashes shall lie where living things aren't.

"If you would try to save the day,
It will be hell you'd have to pay.
I shall breathe my fatal breath
Upon those of you who run from death.

"Your pharaohs shall kneel before me crying
To be set free without you all dying,
But my deserts remain hot as ever
And none can escape - not even the clever.

"Only the faithful to me shall be spared,
So yes, the ones who have never cared.
They'll ball their fists and bare their teeth at Ra!"

"Forever obeying me."

DMagnet-in the new nowhere

Calling you up
on the phone
all 1600 of us
are on the line

between the hours of two and 4 am
free falling
75 miles an hour
shattered me like glass

struggling we go to the edge
a procession for the king
the subjugated called
bringing news
speaking in tongues
flayed

l learn to shut up, listen while
hopelessness, plagues, drought and suffering
escape

leaving only this skin hanging on the branches
withdrawn and awake
in the new nowhere

This Ghost Can't Dance at All

She danced on subtle surfaces a shadow to the mind.

I walked to her grave and felt at home.

The doors creek and the floors bend.
At night, when I’m alone,
I see her yet again.

This specter moves in motions
Emotions can’t behold.
Reaching for her hand,
I see her fade through walls.

Tears bring the pain.
This ghost can’t dance at all.
But, every time,
 Yes, every time…

This ghost takes hold of my soul.
By candle light,
She enters my eyes,
 Empty and queer dimensions enthralled.

Why am I still bound
To this love,
And this grave?

She once touched every wound
And had it melt away,
But now this gray loves so cold,
Icy to every touch.

Tattered curtains,
Cracked windows,
This once was our home.

I don’t want to be alone.
This secret,
It visits me,
But I know you’re dead.

Dreams become
An alternate reality,
Nightmares going through my head;
You’re not gone.
No, you’re not gone.
Songs, somber sweet,
Play in every room
Because at night
You dance yet again.

But within me there is no peace.
Bring the fire.
This ghost can’t dance at all.

Hot intensity bleeds from underneath that which consumes me completely,
This home of memories-incomplete.

I will to end this haunting song.
It’s fear,You, that haunts me every night.

Blow out this endless death.
Waiting here, I've become undressed.
I'm naked, raw, without whim.

So, once again,
Once again,
I’ll see you dance at night.

Because this ghost can't dance at all...

Last Caress

I fight with closed eyes, for your undying love.
Under my blade demons die, the legacy heroes dream of.
I'll climb the highest point, and slay the fiercest foe.
Our dearest hearts now joint, for all to know.
I'll make all of your dreams, come magically true.
I'll fight 'til the end it seems, all for you.
Bloodied blade in hand, waiting to strike.
Horror across the land, death comes to all alike.
I close my eyes, and think of you my princess.
These battle cries, make me crave for your caress.
Your soft skin, brings back memories.
Enemies paper thin, fall to their knees.
When I get back, we'll dance under the stars.
Waiting for the attack, feeling the haunting scars.
Blood stains, such a murderous filigree.
Bloodied guts and brains, pour and sicken me.
I'll kiss you so, and the night will never end.
I'll never go, my beloved friend.
Life is meaningless, without you.
My love I'll confess, all said is true.
I've slayed so many things, and prevailed against all hell.
To hear my angel as she sings, is a tale worthy to tell.
As I take my charge, I feel your ghostly kiss.
Our love so large, your love I'll forever miss.
There's no guarantee, I'll get out alive.
I remember how you loved me, and how we'll forever thrive.
So I stand right here, and I'll never run.
Through my blood and your tear, I'll fight 'til I'm done.
I'll get through, I'll never fail.
As long as I hear you, sing how our love will prevail.
I take this breath, it's been my last.
I accept this death, as I recall our past.
I'll sing and dance with you my princess, just to feel your last caress.

The 2nd line
I’ve the rhythm on my mind!

And sometimes a fellow
You dance with umbrellas
Just like Cinderella

Some dance with towels
But please don’t make a foul
Some dance with towels
And yes we do howl

Dance of the Dead

It's been so long
Since I saw the light
I heard that song
Once, when I was a child
The melody of the martyrs
You said.
The dance of the dead.

Now, I've been so far away
The light has scarcely hit my eyes
But I heard your voice today
And I'm waiting
For the heart in me to die
Then

I will dance eternity in your arms
I will sing your name to the world
In wonder I will succomb to your childlike charms
You are my God
And today, I am your child

In the distance I see
Stars lighting the dark
Pointing the way to the King
Your face captivates my mind
(beat beat)
My heart picks up the pace
Your knocking, I'm coming
Please, dont leave me to myself.

I brought my brokenness
And laid it at your feet
Now I stand Beautiful
In the midst of a broken world
My heart is the drum
But you are the beat
You are the music playing over in my head
And I am always yours
Dancing the dance of the dead.

Dance of Death

Blood shot eyes.
A million failed tries.
Death is impossible.
Only I am responsible.
They are going to isolate me.
Dark room I cant see.
I've gone crazy in my mind.
Everyone I know has left me behind.
I give up.
I'll just shut up.
Silence is bliss.
My razor gives me a single kiss.
Deep and long.
Me and my razor dance to a song.
We zigged and we zagged.
My razor is slowly being dragged.
I take my last and final breathe.
As we finish our dance of death.

See that cloud up in the sky
dancing oh so free,
Do you think it is our Britty
dancing just for me,
See it twirl and move about
are you our baby I have to shout,
We miss you so you have to know
but that's how it had to be,
For you to dance up in the sky
we had to set you free,
We'll watch the sky for a dancing cloud
know it's you and feel so proud,
Spin and twirl dance within
until we all come to meet again.

Failure To Comply!

Who are you 2 challenge the system?
With your hopeful thinking and wishful wishing.
You must not know who we represent!
It doesn't matter if you were heaven sent.
This is our world and our life!
Where everything wrong is considered right.
Where everything right is considered wrong.
We dance to the rythm of our own songs.

We dance the dance we choose 2 dance!
If you fail comply, you're taking a chance.

With not only your life you choose to live,
but the lives of your family and kids.
Who are you to challenge me?
With your pointless views and thoughts of conspiracy!
You must not know what powers I have.
It doesn't matter who's your dad.
This is our world our way of living!
Where everyone hold grudges and no one likes forgiving!
Where people hold on to all the negative in the past.
Where people frown, gets upset, and cry more than they laugh!

We dance the dance we choose 2 dance!
If you fail to comply, you're taking a chance.

Who are you to challenge life?
With mere thoughts and poetry words you choose to write.
You must not know what I can do!
It doesn't matter who sent you!
This is my "perfect" society, I've taken so long to create.
Where promises are meant to be broken and laws are made to break.
Where everything that glitters is percieved as gold.
And rather to experience, they believed as told.

We dance the dance we choose 2 dance!
If you fail comply, you're taking a chance.

Who are you not to comply!
With your many questions of asking why.
Now you have ask one 2 many times.
Now we sentenced you 2 death!
For your one 2 many crimes.

May your life be an example,
4 them who will not dance the dance we choose to dance!

Now others will think twice b4 they fail to comply and take that chance!

I Know this Much is True

There are things in this life
That will bring you to your knees
Whether or not you like it
Whether or not you please
Whether you think you deserve it
Whether or not you do
These things will still happen
I know this much is true.

Some are self inflicted
The cause is from within
Call it your deserved karma
Call it serendipity
Some are by divine providence
Apparently from high above
Totally unexpected
Seemingly on a whim
It is what it will always be
You can’t change a thing.

When the day comes when these things happen
When you are brought down to your knees
And you appear to be unable to breathe
For the moment
When you feel your heart is broken
Shattered from within
It’s hard to know
If you’ll survive.

Life seems to be pulling on us
Like marionette men
Suspending us on its wires
Making us dance
Its vital Dance
A Dance which we don’t know
Held to our course by its slender threads
It’s being a part of an unrehearsed show.

We live our entire lives
Not knowing
What lies behind the masquerade
And what its chapters will soon reveal.
Will the show be long or short
A happy or tragic end
Tragedy or comedy
We don’t even know
Where and when it will end.

At first glance
From our first breath of air
From our very first sight of the sky
Life appears to suspend us gently
Like feathers in the breeze
Blowing us hither and thither
Smooth sailing on the seas.
But things will probably not stay this way
And knowing this is the key
To preparing yourself for trials in life
For how things will really be.

There are things in this life
That will bring you to your knees
Whether or not you like it
Whether or not you please
Whether you think you deserve it
Whether or not you do
These things will still happen
I know this much is true.

Southern Song

Was a daughter of a man
took his life by his own hand
said he left her way too young
when he went and bought that gun.

Was a brother of this girl
lost his mind, his brain unfurled
when his momma took her life
he took his, too, but with a knife.

Now she dance the dance of pain
she know how folks goes insane,
she know why folks dies alone,
brick by brick an' stone by stone.

Rock 'a bye baby, don't you weep,
surrender now to dreamless sleep,
your box of treasures sure be safe
motherless, fatherless, pitiful waif.

Homage to the Lizard King

Come dance and sing
Side by side with the Lizard King,
Entranced as he devours his rage
In the seductive dark at the edge of the stage.

The Lizard King can do anything.

Balanced on the edge of a grave,
You'll give away what you came to save.
Fifty amps send forth salacious screams
His acolytes swarm to share these dreams.

The Lizard King can do anything.

Eyes that some would die for
Cast their magics from the printed page
"Who Do You Love?" they ask
Looking for the answer in ceremonies
Held in the pulsing womb of the night.
Streets are filled with doubt and pain
As youth's desires contend with those of age
And drown together in the summer's bloody rain.

Poet possessed by a savage muse
Now plays the Apocalypse Cafe'
Sings to angels and demons
' Neath the spinning stars
At the Eternal Carnival.

This is the end, Beautiful Friend;
The crystal ship is sailing off.
Dance on fires in the East with the Czar
Drinking mystic draughts in the final Whiskey Bar.
Show us the way to the next little girl
And don't ask why
We are born to grieve and love and die.

Strange fruit grow
In the garden of the Big Sleep
Where the Lizard's scales shine
On the face of the Deep.
Laugh there with those born to sweet delight,
And weep with those who live in the endless night.

Come dance and sing
'Til the concert hall rings
Come dance in a place that knows no sense
That will shudder and shake a thousand years hence.

The Lizard King can do anything.

Come see what disembodiment brings
In the court of the Lizard King.
Shout within the celestial walls
And harken to the voice of the Void as it calls.

The Lizard King can do anything.

Dancing With My Father Again

(Thelbert L. Foster, Sr)

Turning on the radio
Tears spring from my eyes…
As I hear Luther soulfully, voice these words
That I have come to realize…
I shall never dance with my father again,
Oh, its like some one stole from me a prize…
A treasure irreplaceable;
The Lord gave me just this precious one,
Too soon~ he was taken,
My pain has just begun…
I sit alone and wonder, but know that everything
With him is truly all right and remember all the life lessons
Taught to me… in the twinkling of an eye
I can still see him smile, and feel the strength stretch forth
From the one whom always seemed, like a giant in my eyes…
There in that precious moment, my spirit soars…
I am once again a child~ and its then I truly realize...
That in my mind are the shared memories, where
I can always laugh, dance and sing with my father again…

Go

Go rest in Heaven, Go sleep in peace,
Go dance on the other side.
Go celebrate the battle won
Of crossing Jordan's wide.

Go live with Jesus, Go be with Him,
Go rest with God above.
Tell my family all gone before,
Please tell them of my love.

Go join the angel choir and band
Just save me a seat beside you
We can walk together in that fair land
And see Jesus and worship Him, too.

Now you're in Heaven, So sleep in peace,
And dance on Glory's side.
Celebrate the battle won,
Of crossing Jordan's tide.
