Indian Girl

--Virginia Slim--

Different eyes, the same world
Ancient skin, dirty Indian Girl
Smokey, eyes, exotic raven hair
---Now listen to the colors, of transformation,
On the day she was born, the wind blew in,
A blessing ---her soul, fallen from the heavens
A gorgeous puff of smoke, Miss Virginia Slim

Able to walk the world with an open mind, she twirls
Pocahontas, one of her many names.
She carves, and climbs on trees, this little Indian Girl,
Her feathers ride with the wind, against her red titian skin
Daughter of Chief Powhatan, a powerful tribal, red man
Peace and love with the Indians of her Virginia Lands,

Many myths, many stories, maybe a mad woman,
A new Christian, living sad poverty, a silent hero,
Twisted tales, from savage green to ivory white religion
In her eyes, life never was about greed and skin
Her new look, attained an altitude precision
Pocahontas, tricked and captured,
Set to sail another tribe, lands were taken over,
Boat sailed out of Virginia Lands

Tribes acclaimed her to be wild and ambitious
"The naughty one," searching for admission
Native American child, before princess,
Her beautiful soul, a short auspicious beginning
Leaving her world, beautiful and fearless
Forgetting her roots-- From Mother Willow's Vision
Pocahontas, the Indian Legend from, The Virginia Lands

Ballad of a hero

Ballad of a hero.

There was a man, he had a dog
A Rotty, Broad and tall
With shiny fur and healthy eyes
Oh, he was beautiful
No matter where the good man went
The dog was sure to follow
They often went down to the river
And sat in a little hollow.

One day the man, he slipped and fell
He was swept off by the river
The poor man he had never swam
But the dog, he did decipher
That his master, he was drowning
He knew what he must do
He’d save the man he dearly loved
He jumped in the river too.

This dog called Bear, swam to the man
Who, was just about to drown
He grabbed the man’s coat in his jaws
As he was going down
With Dan, our man hugging his neck
Bear swam him back to shore
Then laid there tired, and panting too
Hero, was he, for sure.

Our Bear became a legend, then
Of this little country town
And everyone did make of him
A dog of much renown
They made up songs about the dog
Spoiled him in every way
So like a king, old Bear he lived
Until his dying day.

For the love of Princess Rose

For the love of Princess Rose.

Way back in the darkest times
There lived a wondrous Knight
He had blue eyes, and a handsome face
And his mind was very bright
He lived for goodness, his ideals
Were the highest in the land
And everybody loved this knight
They thought him mighty grand.

He shrunk from no one in the land
He’d fought ten dragons too
As he vied for the love of Princess Rose
Oh, he loved her so true
Yet she was loved by another knight
And so they had to fight
That was the way in those dark days
It was considered right

A tournament it was arranged
And the two men faced each other
Both swore that until the end
They would never love another
The fight was on, as Rose, she watched
The man she loved so much
Fight a man she could not bear
Who her heart did not touch.

Now Don, he was the Knight of choice
He fought like a blessed demon
He was not an evil man
Yet he was filled with Venom
And when the fight was over with
Her knight of choice did win
As love did conquer everything
And the princess married him.

The Angel We Gave To You

The Angel We Gave To You...

He could have taken anyone
But no one really knew
Of all the people in this world
God had chosen you

Your little face so beautiful
We loved you from the start
Every tiny part of you
Engraved upon our hearts

Every precious moment
Every hour that you gave
Every time we held you
Was a precious memory made

We’ll never see you smile
We will never watch you grow
Which makes the time we had with you
More precious that you know

Everyday we'll send you
Love and kisses up above
For nothing’s greater in this world
Than mummy and daddy’s love

In times of pain and sadness
When we feel all hope is gone
We’ll know that in your sister, and our hearts
You will live on

And when we go to bed each night
We’ll close our eyes and pray
We’ll put our hands together
And this to God we’ll say

“You’ve taken someone special
Who we love more than you know
So brave, but very fragile
So with you she had to go

Please wrap her in your tender arms
And love her like we do
And cherish every moment
The Angel…we gave to you”

LET US ALL SAVE PEACE

I woke watching television news
The jet plane is soaring high note
Operation Sulu is launched forth
Until the intruders to get out
Malaysia always chose to peace
Come and let us all save peace

Philippines is wanting peace
For Sulu Archipelago is its part to ease
Sulu Royal Army chose to enter because of peace
They call homeland in the book pages
They decide to stay and die never ended
Many see this is not a good choice
But for them this is a pride to hold and take
Come and let us all save peace

For Malaysia also has to protect its state
Its sovereignty whether lives at stake
It has chosen the space to negotiate
And has given the time to withdraw in peace
But the “intruders” is hard to take the leave
Come and let us all save peace

Many children cried
Much wives shed tears
Every Mothers weep
Their love ones died but with pride
Our prayers to put ahead their faith
Come and let us all save peace

The eyes of the world where are you?
The humanitarian aid you have to do
Don’t you see the lives are here waiting?
The civilians need your helping
Do not wait until the time lapse to nothing
Come and let us all save peace and do something.

Come and let us all save peace
Take part and let us all save peace
Pray and let us all save peace
Where are you peace activists?
Come and let us all save peace
Let us all save peace!

Ballad of Sammy Taylor

Sammy Taylor was a good kid, as everyone could see He was destined for greatness unknown to you and me. From the hills of West Virginia, a place called Whittlers’ Bend. He left one day in ’66 never to return again. Folks all remember Sammy for the goodness in his soul. A smile and sparkle in his eyes glittered just like gold. Sammy considered all the people as family to him. When he was called to fight for peace in a place called simply, 'Nam'. He grew up a hunter and loved his fishin’ too So things the outdoors offered Sammy weren’t all that new. ‘Nam' was not the West Virginia Mountains that he knew. The morning he woke up on a hill called 14 Blue. Charlie had been active there just the day before And signs that he was very close could not be ignored. While all remained quiet throughout that August day Little did anybody know that night would bring hell to pay. It was just about a quarter to three, and all was strangely quiet, When the chatter of an M16 broke the silence of the night. There was a pop and then a flare gave vision to the night…. A voice was heard to say, “Charlie’s on his way and he’s coming here to fight.” Now, Sammy had already seen his share of hell on earth And Charlie’s demons gave him one more chance to prove his worth. A dedicated VC soldier was always an awesome foe But nothing will surpass the courage Sammy would soon show. Sammy found himself in front of an insane VC charge He barely had the time to yell, “They’re comin’, Look Out, Sarge!” A VC grenade proved to be his last courageous test When a West Virginia mountain boy covered it with his chest. Now, there’s a house in Whittlers’ Bend with a medal on a wall. But the plaque hanging there beside it cannot tell it all--- How Sammy Taylor went outside, one morning, just to play, Then, some years later, gave his all, in a place so far away. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13 Written By John Posey 05/18/13

With This New Day

I have lived,
And felt the cost,
Paid my dues,
But I have lost_ You.

 Still I pray,
As chaos looms,
And as my blue turns into grey,
I hear__
The angels sing- In tune.

 Don't be giving in,
Don't give up my son,
Or fade away,
Lift your chin with the sun__ And rise,
With this new day!.

 I have lived,
And felt the cost of all my wonderin ways,
I've paid my dues,
I - Have lost you.

I can hear the angels sing,
Your in a mistaken land__ Lessons learned in truth,
As the grey seeks out the blue,
She will__ Your daughter my son---
She will return--- To You.

For I have lived,
Felt the cost of all my walkin days,
I've paid my dues,
I- Lost you....

I wont be giving in,
Won't give up my girl,
Or fade away,
I'll lift my chin with the sun---
And RISE--
With this new day...

My addiction

I have an addiction...
It dont matter what time of day it is my addiction is there...
Not always in the literall since...
But it is always on my mind...
I lay my head down to sleep at night thinking about you...
I sleep dreaming about you...
I wake up thinking about you...
Your always on my mind...
No matter what I do my addiction is always on my mind...
Even if your not the last one I talk to before I lay my head down to sleep...
I still lay my head down thinking of you...
I just cant get enought of you...
No matter what my addiction is there...
My addiction has a name...
Her name is Shelby Nestle...
No matter how much we text or talk on the phone...
Its never enough...
I cant get enough of your beautiful eyes...
I cant get enough of that beautiful smile...
I cant get enough of kissing your soft lips...
That feeling I get inside when our lips touch...
Or holding you in my arms...
This is a new addiction to me...
Never have I been this addicted this quick...
It scares the shyt outta me...
But then I love it...
You are my new addiction baby...
You are my...
My heroin...
My ecstacy...
My cocaine...
You are my own personal drug...
I cant imagine and addiction stronger...
You are my addiction...
I wouldnt even think about trying to break this addiction...
I wouldnt go to rehab for this addiction...
I like it to much...
YOU ARE PERFECT JUST THE WAY YOU ARE

American dust off crews

American dust off crews

I served some time in Vietnam
As a medic I performed
And saw some things to make me think
As I suppose would be the norm.
But the thing that did impress me most
Were those dust off crews I saw
They hailed from the USA, did they
They were the best for sure.

They were the bravest of the brave
They seemed to have no fear
They’d go where others feared to tread
And lord, they drank some beer
So often I’d get drunk with them
We’d have a grand old time
Back there in that long gone year
Of nineteen sixty nine.

Those lads would put themselves in danger
No matter what the score
They will have my admiration
From now till evermore.
For many men were saved by them
{God bless them every one}
As we served, us our two countries
Neath that hazy Asian sun

In the Library of BMCC

Surrounded by heavy tomes
Chronicling the history of
   countless generations
One can only feel a sense of
    awe that the weight of
the past has upon the living
  A brief look around me
allows me to see the coming generation
   Working diligently
to achieve their goals
What will become of these youth
in the next few years?
Some may die fighting on foreign shores
Otheres will die young due to bad habits
Some may achieve great success
  Picking up my pen
I try to evoke the scene in the library
of the Borough of Manhattan Community College
Where many different
     nationalities
Merge into a quilt of hope!

Tribute to bob Dylan

Tribute to Bob Dylan

I remember well when I was young
And music was my thing
There was Billy, Elvis Cliff Richard
And to me these guys did bring
Wonderful moments in my life
As I bought all of their stuff
But then this other guy came out
And Lord, that was enough

My interest it went to him
Who changed the status Quo
His name it was Bob Dylan
And me I watched him grow
From a young folk star, to a rock legend
He did change music’s face
As he prophesized some potent things
That would touch the human race.

He told us in his screaming voice
[As he played his mystic role]
That all the sons and daughters
Would be out of our control
He sang of the whole world changing
And I’m seeing that come true
Oh Yes, that old Bob Dylan
I loved what he did do.

Praying For The Day

I pray for the day,
That my sweet child comes home,
To my loving arms,
So, I can love and hold them tightly,
Each and everyday of their lives,
To be there for them and guide them,
As they learn to grow,
Into a wonderful adult,
That I know they will become,
For they have such a wonderful heart,
And as people will see them grow each year,
Learning along their way,
Having their own imagination,
To shine and guide them,
To be a very unique person of their own,
But they are already very different,
In many different ways,
By their looks and their loving heart,
And of course being very smart,
Their beauty will shine,
In many different ways,
Both inside and out,
And I pray for the day,
They will come home,
To stop these painful, loving tears.

The ballad of Tich Thomas

The Ballad of Tich Tomas
.
A dog was howling in the night
Perhaps she knew the truth
That Tich would not be coming home
This dog needed no proof
That the man who she loved so
He’d come to her no more
Because Lance corporal Thomas was
 A victim of the war.

Now Tich, he was a country boy
His farm it was his life
A boon to his community
He’d give in times of strife
He learned his trade in farming school
With honours he’d come through
Then settled down to work his farm
That’s what he planned to do.

But then, one day it came to him
The news he did not need
He’d been called up for army life
He went off without heed
To do his time in Puckapunyal
To get him set for war
He soon made it as Infanteer
So he joined a fighting corp

He worked real hard and gained a stripe
This showed he had potential
He earned his skills in jungle fighting
And then there came the call
For he to go to Vietnam
To five RAR he was sent
Charlie company was his unit
When off to war he went

It was in April sixty six
Our man went into battle
There in the Phuc Tuy provence
Those guns did roar and rattle
Our Tich he fought real gallantly
So brave was he, but then
The shrapnel done it’s evil job
He joined the fallen men.

They brought his body back to those
Who were waiting for him there
The whole town came to welcome him
And helped with grief and prayer
They buried him with all the honours
That came to fighting souls
Who died to keep their country free
Courageous in their roles.

More honour it was placed on him
By the country where he’d fought
They built a statue in his name
And his likeness it was caught
By the sculptor who did honour him
And carve him into stone
And now Tich Tomas guards the park
As he stands there all alone.

If you’re ever down in Nannup town
Go to the park that’s there
You’ll see the statue of young Tich
As his spirit everywhere
Will fill the souls of those who see
This fighting man, so brave
Who’s body lies so peacefully
In his own town, in a grave.

A man called Robert Lindley

The man called Robert Lindley

I received a book one day
From a man who’d messaged me
He’d said he knew me by my poems
A fine poet that I be
He would like to send this book
He’d owned for forty years
It was a book by Frank Stanton
A poet he held dear.

He told me I write like this man
And this book it should be mine
Now I did hardly know this guy
This made me feel so fine
For never in my whole long life
Had I ever known such kindness
So I was overwhelmed for sure
I really must confess.

Now I have this book he owned
And I really must admit
That when I looked at franks sweet poems
My style it was a bit
Like his, and I must thank my friend
For sending me his gift
For every time I read his poems
My heart they seem to lift

Now I never will forget
This man who is my friend
His name is Robert Lindley
And I never intend
To let this kind act of his
Ever leave my mind
Robert is the sweetest man
A man so very kind.

WHO WILL

On solid familiar fertile ground
My humbled set of feet stand
I work diligently avoiding demand

Total Independence, I tried and found
Trials and problems, I did mount
Indeed like a boxer, I pound and been pound
A fight not in ring but on land

There are teardrops in my eyes
There are laughter and smiles you saw
There are shoutouts I said in law
There are memories I leave raw

Who will come to cherish these?
Who will come to pass these?
Who will come and do the same?
Not for money, power or fame

The soul of the virgin

The soul of the virgin

Our Virgin is so practical
So critical she be
She’s always hard upon herself
Her words come loose and free
If she thinks that you have let her down
She’ll tell you this is so
She’s very clever with her hands
And she really likes to know.

She does her best in everything
Meticulous is she
She be one of the clever ones
She’s kind and she will be
A boon to anyone who needs her
She’s so dependable
She can’t abide in ugliness
Of any kind at all.

She has a downer on herself
She thinks she is not liked
She analyzes everything
She can look into your psyche
She won’t be fooled by anyone
And she worries about her health
Just to get to know this lady
Is a valid source of wealth.

IN MANTRA FORTIFIES

Preeminent is the birth of Christ.
We worship his life and seek his devise…

His dominant presence arises.
Aroused is our spirit.
Our soul is incandescent.
We are obligatory to the glory of God.
Luminescent is the essence of The Holy Scripture.

We sing gloriously.
We pulsate victoriously.
The Gospel is our voice harmonically.
Christ died on Calvary.

Hoisted to achieve amazing deeds, our life is a radiance of Heaven’s lights.
We worship the life of Christ.
Ascendant to prophesy of the world, peace is influential while war destroys.
Famine is metaphorically dumbfounded for the knowledge of God’s apostles.
Walk in rightful luminosity.
Insofar, your life is brilliance perceived.

We shout gloriously.
We pine exultantly.
The Gospel is our harmonic expression.
Christ died for our salvation.

Today we praise Christ, the Son.
Today we praise God, the Father.
One does not supersede the other.
Thru the Holy Spirit, we thump.
Through the Holy Spirit, God sends his Son.
The beat of our heart pounds in prayer as we bow.

Knees bent, by all means, amidst effervescent shimmering.

Croon praise!
Beatify the Lord’s way!
Our reliance is devoted to the Gospel resonated!

In mantra fortifies giving the highest praise to the life of Christ!
Refrain via song augments the Father and the Son.

Thru the Holy Spirit, we thump.
Through the Holy Spirit, God sends his Son.
The beat of our heart pounds in prayer as we bow.
Knees bent, by all means, amidst effervescent shimmering.

From The Lament of The Lucretian

Bear-away, Charlie,
Back her up!
She's filled to the rim like a saltwater cup.
Heat up her engines
Into the lee—
Do you hear that sound?
All hands hoay!
Poor old Lucie's run a ground—
Too late, Charlie,
Let it be.
There goes another man plucked by the sea...

Goats

Goats

They’re everywhere
These pretty little creatures
On the serpent road to Exmouth
They be some of the features
Along with Emus, Kangaroos
And handsome birds of prey
These little goats be bountiful
They’re all along the way.

They be domestic goats
Who’ve gone back to the wilds
Where they have bred one million fold.
As one moves along the miles
These little goats be seen so much
In their many shades and hues
Don’t know where they got their water
It be tough country too.

The weather here be hot and dry
As the sun bakes everything
And mostly here no rain does fall
To drinking water bring.
And yet these goats look healthy as
Such nimble little beasts
You’d see some dead there in the road
As the crows do have their feast.

That be the price of progress
That poor beasts have to die
That be the curse of human beings
Sometimes it makes me cry
Yet still they be so plentiful
These handsome little guys
Another little part of nature
That make love in me rise.

I know You Cape Breton

Hey, how are you

	Have you heard this one?
	Where there’s a midnight sun

		Listen to me now,
		Listen up young one
		One day I left someone

	Where did you say
	you were going?
	She looked so sad
	with her tears showing

showing her a map of you,
		around the world to you,
		flying so fast at you,
I left my Papua New Guinea,
my home sweet home for you.

			So... like déjàvu,
			You look so...
			Do I know you?
			No, don't say no...
			I know you!
			you were in my dreams

	You know that moment,
	when you see her,
	smile,
	the light,
	that shines,
	that lifts you high
	into outer space so high

oh how I longed for you,
Just you and me,
your seasons, my wonder..
I wonder when thunders,
remind my mind,
my sleeping child,
suddenly awake,
But Nova's away..

	They say people say,
	you'd miss home,
	you'll miss POM..
	you said no,
	No, No, No
	you'll be home
	From winter to Autumn
	Just you and I
	you'll be fine

		So when the leaves fall,
		Or when snow falls,
		Remember me,
		Remember us,
		Our time, may be dying,
		Maybe someday I'll find,
		My child no child,
		and the sun so fine,
		I'll be home bound,
			To my Ocean playground..

Termite country

Termite Country

We’re heading north to Exmouth,
Carnarvon we’ve just passed.
We be driving up a serpent road,
As the country seems so vast.
It’s hot outside, but in this van,
The air cons on and all,
As all along the road we pass,
Little goats, so beautiful….

And everywhere, most endlessly,
There’s a billion termite mounds.
Like baked brown little mountains,
They’re everywhere around.
We stopped near one, I marveled,
That a tiny beast, and blind!
Could build these blessed monuments,
It nearly blew my mind.

I took me then some photographs
Of these engineering feats,
As I let the awe and wonder,
Into my dull mind seep.
In such a vast, still country,
In the silence of the way,
Those mounds stood out so powerful,
In the heat of a sunburned day.

Souless Society

Yeah Im living in a souless society,
My people keep doing each other wrong so much its hard to get right with me,
Its so dark with alcoholic violence that I can no longer see the light in me,
Survival of the fittest I am no longer because there remains almost no fight in me,
I struggle with death around one in all forms of variety,
I am so low at times that there can be no one high as me,
A lot of non-sense for my body I keep buying me,
at the same time my own people keep fighting me,
but its time I just say "**** it"
and kick all that *****to the curve away in the bucket,
I hate the truth so much that I start to love it,
Creating a mind full of knowledge gold, a mind full of many nuggets,
Now its time I face my own truth even if my own people lie to me,
I can and I will overcome this souless price that seems too pricey,
**** all that bull-*****I will rise out my own souless society

The sunny soul of the lion

The sunny soul of the lion.

Our lady of the sun
Never humble, she’s so proud
She loves to organize, and plan
She’s the Queen, this speaks so loud
To be her friend, gain her respect
And never let her down
She’s lovely when she’s happy
But please don’t make her frown.

Creative is her manner
She like to stand right out
When she’s there in any place
She’ll leave you with no doubt
As to who is going to run the show
But she’s very good at it
Anywhere this lady be
She’ll help out quite a bit.

Her sunny personality
Will get her liked by most
But she can be over bearing
And though she’s warm as toast
When she’s got a down on you
You’ll learn a heap on wrath
When that ladies on to you
You’ll do anything but laugh.

Questions

What will the day bring do we ever know?
Could it be the sun shining bright or flowers that grow
Or maybe a surprise storm that’s brewing out there
We just never know, should we always beware?

Is it a chance meeting of a friend or lending a hand?
Or eating a meal that is ever so grand
Is it a work day where everything goes right?
Maybe you saw something that gave you a fright

We just never know from day to day
Maybe it’s been a day full of play
Or a full moon lighting your way
As you kneel at bedtime and begin to pray

So when you rise the next day and start your way
Try to do good and don’t go astray
You have this one life to do what you can
And hope things turn out the way that you plan.

Antarctica

Antarctica (Ernest Shackleton tribute)

To your shores came as a pilgrim
Knowing that I wasn’t welcome
All I wanted was to walk
Across your land of ice and rock

But you trapped my ship in ice
Blew cold winds into my eyes
Wanted me to pay the price
Hardship’n’ pain did not suffice

I won’t give up! No, I won’t stop!
On the wings of faith and hope
Between sky and endless depth
I’ll walk the line of life and death

My chances aren’t of greatest height
To save the lives you tried to smite
You’ve gotta know I’m gonna fight
As it’s my duty and it's my right!

To A Missing Love

I miss the days,
We shared together,
And the love we shared,
When it was there,
Believe it or not,
My love for you,
Will always remain,
In my heart,
No matter where you may go,
For we have been,
Through a whole lot together,
That shows my love for you,
Is as true as it becomes,
For one day you will see,
That no one will stand beside you,
The way that I have,
During these troubled times,
And never leave your side,
To be there through thick and thin,
The way I was for you,
Being very true during each forsaken time,
Even though you were pushing me away,
By doing what you did,
Which caused us many problems,
I felt as if everyone else mattered,
More to you,
Than me.

Here's to John and Carla

Here’s to John and Carla

Here’s the story of John Sherman
He was born there, in New Jersey
In the year of forty two
A wild, wild man was he
Con man, thief and activist
He was chased by the FBI
He was on their top ten list
One day they caught this guy.

They placed him, when they caught him
In a high security jail
They considered him to be
A very dangerous male
He escaped their prison, twice did he
When they caught up with him
They kept him jailed for eighteen years
And made his life so grim.

One day the Buddhists came to visit
And then this man was hooked
His manner changed he grew real calm
As at himself he looked
He delved down to his deepest depths
And experienced a thing
That gave him peace, and harmony
And made his whole world sing.

Just like everything in life
His peace it did not last
His mind went kind of crazy then
And his misery was vast
And so he turned to Ramana
A saint from India
As he asked the question ‘Am I here’?
Something within did stir.

His world became a heaven then
He’d learned the truth at last
He conquered all his fear of life
And the sweetness it was vast
When they let him out of Jail
He married his sweet wife
And he and Carla ran a site
To help folk through their strife.

They run a site called ‘Just one look’
Where they teach many folk
How to rid their lives of fear
And though he’s always broke
He and his wife do carry on
Trying to help folk, in their plight
As they too look within their depths
And find themselves that light

They have worked with many folk
And lot do claim success
As they ask the question ‘Am I here’
And many can attest
That they now live all free of fear
And as his work goes on
So many will agree with them
When all their fears are gone.

I speak from my own story
When I tell this thing to you
If you do suffer misery
Then here’s the thing to do
Get in touch with John, and Carla
And let them take you to
A space where fear does not exist
It works I’m telling you.

This man John Sherman

This man ‘John Sherman’

I started out with Ramana

A long, long time ago

Then soon I came Krishnamurti

Oh how I loved him so

Then Osho, he did show is face

The great man that he was

Then Eckhart touched the soul of me

I loved all them because…..

They had some wondrous things to say

That I heard from deep within

They spoke of truth so very deep

And so I did begin

To meditate and bare my soul

I was not good at this

But I did have some magic moments

All filled with so much bliss.

Then one day surfing on the net

I found this king of men

He told me just one act to do

That really was a gem

He told me ‘look at you’ my friend

That’s all one has to do

Now this was four short years ago

And I can swear to you….

This act ‘John Sherman’ gave to me

It really did the trick

My life is calm and peaceful now

And harmony does stick

With me all the blessed time

He gave me transformation

And now I want to spread his name

To every single nation.

how do you have time to be so charming

Oh Romeo ' where out thou is the first of all thoughts
how do you have the time to enchant ones soul
your words of sheer beauty come so easily for you

There must be Juliet at home in her heart only for you does her passion grow
Yes you are charming and very witty as though you have lived many lives
many lives over and over again, to seduce with words you control

you are one with imagination
you are one of God's creations

still I am left to wonder
how many loves you have written too

In writing I love and in writing I can shed my thoughts
never wishing to hurt another's soul
for it is she I wish you stay , her tears do not flow

respectfully thinking of how romantic you are
careful not to be caught in a tornado of thoughts throughout my day
I am here to write not be captivated by your magic spell weaved

There's a Juliet I must imagine , beautiful , loyal , most stunning , waiting for you
In love she cooks she bakes , she lives she awaits
For how could one like you not have found true love .

How do you find the time in the day , to love so gracefully in words shared
My thoughts are taken for minutes of the day with you I am impaired
You know who you are don't you , you must , how many hearts have thou Broken Oh Romeo , through desire and lust .

The soul of Gemini

The soul of Gemini

Gemini be so restless
Boredom be his curse
Coop him up for too damn long
And he will get real terse
He’s friendly and adorable
Until he’s bored with you
Then he’ll be off to seek another
It’s what his kind might do.

He loves to get in arguments’
Debates are dear to him
He’s a cunning, clever little chap
You’d never call him dim
He learns a bit on everything
Then thinks he knows it all
And yet he has a way with words
That could charm one up the wall.

Though fickle in the way he is
He really loves to learn
With all his curiosity
This little guy will yearn
To find out everything he can
He’s kind of nosy too
But mostly folk will like this chap
For the antics he might do.

There is more to Moore

Although I have never experienced a tornado or lost a loved one to a storm,
I was moved by the spirit and resilience of the people of Moore Oklahoma.

In May there comes an evil wind
That's worst than flood or fire
It carries off our will to live
And crushes life's desire

This time of year, is free from fear
In most lands that I know of
But living here, the price is dear
Losing those we all love

When spring arrives, it's beautiful
The best month of the season
But, tempest grow, we all know
The sky fills fast with treason

To run and hide seems futile
When warnings come to late
Found in its path, the after math
Is something that won't wait

Why do you live here,
We are often asked
We live here, cause we love here
It's our future and our passed

We are not leaving
And we are not alone
Truly there's no other place
That we could call our home

So we morn our children
Neighbors , family, friends
Then join our hands in humble pray
And build our town again

Country Music is just good ole American soul

Country Music is just good ole American soul
from the rhythm of the guitars
to the screaming strings of the fiddle and the beat of the drums
to the words that are written and sung
by the men and women who have lived the life

singing about life, love, divorce, guns, and God above
words that have meaning, emotion and devotion that tell a story
about the American way of life and glory
that you identify with because it’s real
letting you know how we all feel
it’s your life’s story as well that you identify with

songs that bring the tears, sadness, joys and smiles from ear to ear
as you tap your toes, snap your fingers, and slap your knee
and dance the two step until quarter to three
songs that set you free or bringing back an ole memory

country music is all about the loving, the good, the bad and the ugly
were all proud to be Americans because it is our life were singing about
country music is the salt of the earth, mixed in with 100 other spices

country music is good for the heart, the mind the soul it has its roots
from the beginning of American history
even George Washington was overheard singing country songs

country music helps the whiskey the moonshine, and beer to go
down a whole lot smoother
country music is in the air where the blue grass grows, the lazy river flows
to where the yellow flowers on the mountain grows

God bless the men and women who sing and write the country music songs
it’s just good ole American soul music

The Battlefront Soldier

Tall and strong;
Always pushing on.
Never once looking back,
Straight up and stiff back.
My heart was and is yours,
But you turned me down and sent me away.
You might be military, baby,
But I don’t care.
Hold me and love me, but leave my heart there.
I want you to be mine, but distance is your barricade with which you hide.
I fear you’ll hide behind it forever,
With or without my dreams.
I see you walking away or standing on enemy lines,
Looking back onto my side of the fence and wondering to cross it or not.
You have your gun, you have your uniform, and you have your armor.
You doubt me because of what happens with others, and you ignore the others who have succeeded.
Why not give me a chance?
Let me show you I can be who you want.
Ignore just letting me be a distance away.
Please; please I beg you; don’t walk away and leave me as I am.

Tribute to Richard Nnoli

Tribute to Richard Nnoli

I found a man here on this site
A day or two ago
I read his poems for just a while
And I was glad to know
That folk like he, they do exist
On this planet earth of ours
For reading all his lovely words
Was the blooming of a flower.

Wisdom is a wondrous thing
Yet in my world, it’s rare
I have read so many books
And often found it there
Amidst the teachers on this earth
Who come from their own minds
But now I’ve found one on this site
A truly wondrous find.

He goes by the name of Richard Nnoli
He’s new here on this site
Yet read his poems and I am sure
They’ll give you much delight
It seems to me that this man be
A wisdom man for sure
Read his stuff with open heart
He’s a ‘one of’ that’s for sure.

Young in Love Again--- SONG 2

Every time I breath,
	I feel your arms around me;
Holdin’ on so tight, that it makes it almost impossible to see.
The stars are dancing their own little dance, as we hear the drums
		Pounding in our ears.

I remember we were running through the trees,
Trying to reach the top,
Giggling and screaming at the top of our little lungs,
I wish we could go back and be
Young in Love Again.

I flash back to us growing up,
Catching each other in long silent glances,
With the same little question bugging me and you.
But then there was your girl;
And she adored you, then I was always blue.

I remember sitting alone writing in my book,
Watching you stand there cuddling her,
With me longingly looking, dreaming I could be her and
I kept wishing that we could go back to being
Young in Love Again.

Then there was the day,
	That long awaited day.
You had left her for me,
And in sweet ecstasy, you kissed me.

I remember everything falling into place,
Walking down the aisle to you,
Standing there in black and blue;
Our dreams were finally coming true
And we were no longer wishing to go back ‘cause
We were Young in Love.

But then things changed. . .
One little change, we didn’t expect it to come.
It was the letter sent for you to go.
		And in my head,
Was all the bad, wondering if our precious little one would survive,
			From all my pain
				From this one good-bye. . .

And I remember going back to all the good,
Breathing out the bad,
Trying to forget the truth, that you had to go;
And we were praying together,
That we could go back to being
Young in Love Again.

And I remember. . .
	And you remember. . .
        So we remember. . .
		And we pray. . .
That if we meet again in another place. . .

We will be
	Young in Love Again.
