Light of the world you step
down into darkness,
Just to show me the
tenderness of your love and
You brought love more than
anyone did,
And protected me right
from when i was a kid.
You gave me every reason
to smile,
Making my struggle for
salvation worth a while.
You brought to me the
peace of heaven,
Giving my soul joy that it
has been craven.
You made my future so
bright like the sun,
And Every moment spent
with you brings so much
You placed gold and
diamond on my fingers,
And made my happiness
You brought joy like i have
never known,
And unconditional love
beyond what i have been
You gave life to me even
though am a sinner,
And amongs all my battles
you made me a winner.
You're my shelter from all of
earth's troubles,
Making all my enemies to
When i needed hope and
You've always been there
giving me your attention.
How about the tenderness
of your care? ,
That wipes away all of my
Because you liveth i can
face tomorrow,
Inside you there is no tears
and no sorrow.
You've blessed me beyond
my widest dream,
Making me live the life of
my dreams.
You gave up your life on the
cross just for my sake,
Making a sacrifice that i
wasn't able to make.
Your blood paid that great
price by faith,
Just for me to be able to
rise above hate.
You've been the best thing
that has happen to me,
That's why by your side is
where i want to forever be.
You made me walk through
the shadows of death,
Giving me a taste of an
heavenly rebirth.
King of all days be highly
For only you can be trusted.
Thanks for everything
you've done for me,
Making me the best that i
can ever be.
Amongst all the things
you've done for me beyond
all measures,
Thanks for being the best
and greatest of all my

Thanksgiving Wishes

I'm wishing on this Thanksgiving day,
That we all take the time to pray
For those who aren't with us here,
But are in our hearts all the year
Know we're sending you lots of love,
Cause every day you're thought of

Thankfulness: the opposite of complaining
This isn’t going to come easily, it will take a little training
It’s the concept of being content with all that we own
And being grateful for all the love that God has shown
We so often think that our lives are so rough
Because we are so focused on getting, because we think we don’t have enough
But stop and take a look around
You’re sitting alive in luxury safe and sound
We really don’t understand how fortunate we are
We have food, water, a house, and usually more than one car
There are millions upon millions of people less fortunate
People that we don’t share our fortune with
There are people out there who have absolutely nothing
And this is for real, I’m not bluffing
They’re not sure where they are going to get their next meal
Take a minute and imagine how that must feel
C’mon, let that sink in
And that’s only one place I can begin
So many people are completely broke, struggling to survive, have failing health, live in way, and have nowhere to live
And you’re trying to say that YOU have nothing to give?
We sit here in our beautiful homes, brand new clothes, full of food, iphone in hand
While there are people out there who are too sick and weak to stand
Now to this, how are we going to react? Cause this sure isn’t fiction, it’s 100% fact
Are we going to ignore this and just sit around?
Are we comfortable just sitting in the background?
I say as children of God we need to take action
We need to get out there, not being swayed by every little distraction
Serving and giving generously to others doesn’t follow “The American Dream”
But maybe that’s not the right way to live, as though it may seem
I say it’s time for us to lay down our pride
Are you going to serve? It’s your turn to decide
We are all one body, we all have the same worth
That’s true for all the people here on earth
By Jesus we are called to love and not just sit around
Cause when we die, we don’t want to be just another corpse in the ground
In James chapter one we are called to serve the orphans and widows in their distress
We know exactly what to do, we don’t need to guess
Now this subject I really want to address
And my feelings, I want to express
If we were really thankful for all that we own
We would be OK to step out of our comfort zone
And if we are truly grateful
We would serve others in any way we are able
By doing this, we express our care for those who need it
That we can go out and DO something, we actually believe it
I may have just rambled on, but I wanted to make a point
But now you know my personal viewpoint
Now I’m not just talking to you, this also applies to me
So often I don’t fill the role I was called to be
But I believe that thankfulness isn’t just an emotion, it requires action to make it true
So now here’s the big question, what are you going to do?
Are you going to get out there or continue to stand on the sideline?
Are you going to be absolutely thankful or continue to whine?
You can try to convince yourself that people are fine
But think about it while on that $50 meal you dine
You can help change a life for pennies a day
That’s right, only one dollar a month you have to pay
“Dollar for the Poor” is an organization that’s making a change
Only one dollar a month? That just sounds strange
But it’s true, they’re making an impact
What if we all heard this and could properly react? One dollar a month and you can change a life
For that little donation, you can save someone from a cycle of strife
But it’s not just about money, it’s also about giving your time
This is real talk, not just a pantomime
There are so many things we aren’t thankful for every day
What if all of it was suddenly stripped away? Could we still be thankful and love God without all our stuff?
Will his constant love and providing actually be enough?
Our thankfulness shouldn’t be based off our prosperity or wealth
We so often blame God when loved ones have failing health
We should be thankful for the lives that we already live
Because God’s perfect gift of salvation is the best anyone can give
So don’t forget today, offer God your true thanks for life and your daily bread
Because apart from him, we would be left for dead

Thanksgiving day we pray
With a lot to say
The warmth of a home
Which has a tone
Everyone being together
Forever and ever
The food fills us up
With all the cups
We give thanks
With no mistake
Happy Thanksgiving to all
With many more to call

Could be

I wake up before the sun from a cozy bed

I walk outside and feel the crisp autumn chill

So I put a stocking cap on my head

I walk through the back yard

heading for the woods

doing something city boy

only wish they could

I arrive at my stand

and check the direction of the breeze

before I climb up ole faithful

a dying, dark barked maple tree

I make myself comfortable

as the sun stretches its arms

for the sky

producing iridescent colors

I live for the outdoor

and that's one of the reasons why

Not far behind me a freshly cut field of hay

in front endless rows of cornstalks fill the way

I begin to think of a tradition

My son and I on thanksgiving day.

he is still here with me

even though last November he passed away

I start hearing cars doors shut

its coming from over the hill

carrying an aroma of cinnamon

It's my favorite! Pumpkin pie

Justin, I'll be back, But for now Goodbye

Rhymes Of Thanksgiving

A beautiful scenic autumn day

Birds fly south to escape the winter

Courtesy guiding us through Thanksgiving prayers

Dinner lovingly prepared by your favorite relatives

Excellent days of walking and the leaves turning colours

Fresh crisp air breathing in and out and enjoying God's blessings

Gardens of beauty with roses of red and pink and yellow and white

Houses elegant and refined and apartments of all shapes and sizes

Islands of humanity kind and benevolent and friendly and caring

Jays singing their song amidst the tall pine trees

King and Queen regally visiting our country and blessing us all

Loving and caring relatives who come and visit us on these special holidays

Majestic nature forever a good companion and friend

New clothes the shades of autumn complimenting humanity

Ovation and encore for autumn's majesty and miracles

Pioneers of the past remembered and a cornucopia of thanks

Quests for true happiness and real thanksgiving

Religious prayers and churches and a sacred blessing from God

Sounds of Thanksgiving where families are gathered in celebration

Universally aknowledged togetherness and friendship

Vivacious and lively days and nights, sacred and honourable

Weather varied warm and cool and pleasant and unpleasant

Xtra days of summer the Indian days of summer guest

Yesterdays' memories and todays' living experiences

Zealous and progressive and tunes of autummn songs well sung

The Miracles Of Thanksgiving

A day of autumn beauty,
Beautiful in every way,
Canada is a land blessed,
Dance of the leaves, when the wind blows,
Each person thankful for Thanksgiving reunions,
Free to celebrate and be together,
Goodness given to us by the Lord,
Houses and apartments warmed and comfortable,
I like being there, at home,
Jay the beautiful bluebird that sits in the pine tree,
Kindness everywhere, a land to be proud,
Love and friendship prevails with every good neighbor,
Miracle, God's blessing,
New faith and days of worship at church,
October days and nights, the fading of summer,
Parents and children gather for Thansgiving at church and house.

Four hundred years ago high-born Brits sailed to America
Seeking fast fortunes, adventure and fame.
Many would never endure their first year here
Cultivating, foraging, and hunting game.

Arriving in Virginia they came ill-prepared
In search of gold and a route to the South Seas
What they found were hostile Indians,
Insects, starvation, and disease.

“Virginia is Earth’s only Paradise!”
The laureate of England would proclaim!”
However by August of 1607,
Every day there was anguish, and pain.

They ate their horses, dogs, cats and rats
One man ate his wife and hid her bones in the ground.
Despite their hardships, half managed to survive
Becoming America’s first permanent, English town .

The Pilgrims held their first Thanksgiving
At Plymouth in October 1621.
The bitter winter of 1620, was over
With a loss of many father, mother, daughter or son.

Life for survivors was much better now
As a good harvest improved what was rationed
Settlers enjoyed good health and prosperity
As homes were raised from the logs they fashioned.

They walked unafraid and safely in the woods
For they had made peace with the Indians.
After the signing a long-lasting treaty
Natives and Pilgrims shared the land as friends.

Sending four men to shoot waterfowl and wild turkeys
The Pilgrims decreed a holiday of good fortune
A chief was invited who brought 90 braves
And five deer to increase the portion.

It was an open-air roast and festival
Held along the north bank of Town Brook.
Where there were games of skill, chance and dance
While everyone gorged on the feast they cooked.

From then on Thanksgiving spread through the colonies
Though each region chose its own date.
Till in 1789 President Washington proclaimed
November 26 a day to give thanks and celebrate.

The theme of Thanksgiving has always been the same.
Though its date has changed many times.
A day for giving and remembering the less fortunate
Expressing thankfulness with our prayers, hearts and minds.

It is our duty as a nation to acknowledge providence
Of Almighty God, and to obey his will.
To be grateful for his blessings, and protection
As we humbly partake in the tables we fill.

Its the time of year when everyone gives thanks together. Its when we show appreciation for one another. The table is full with food made with love. Your grandma made a pie for you just because. Laughter is filling the room and food is getting passed around. Everyone at the table loves that sound. Sweet potatoes, pie, turkey oh my. The family is all at the table having a blast. Talking about how thanksgiving came so fast. The food is brining a delicious smell. We know this all too well. The family is finally reunited. Everyone is so excited. Cherish the time with your family and friends. everyone is so glad that the can meet again.

I Woke Up In The Morning

I woke up in the morning with a smile on my face,
I told myself today is going to be a beautiful day.

After all today was the day you and I became one,
It was a dream come true, for you I was chosen.

Everyday I spend with you, I learn something new,
I can't even imagine what would I do without you.

Thank you for being an angel to me all these years,
Thank you for teaching me how to face my fears.

I just hope life goes on just like this forever,
I pray that you and I are always twinned together.
