Premium Member Think About this Question

What if the King of the World were accessible
What would you ask Him to do
Would you ask Him for Love, for wealth
for peace on earth, for good health

Would you ask Him to grant you three wishes
as if He were a genie
Would you ask Him to clean up your city
or on filthy scoundrels take pity

What if the King of the World was so close to you
that you could whisper in His ear
Would you give Him some good advice
or just let Him roll the dice

      Think about this question
         and what you might do
For He stands ready and able
         right next to you

Song about Business Analysis

I map the vision, chase the need,
Between the lines, I plant the seed.
From stakeholders to strategy,
I am the bridge - that's BA me!

(chorus)
We ask, we link, we write it clear,
Align the goals, wipe out the fear.
No cape, no code, but still we thrive -
Business Analysts keep dreams alive!

Align with teams, architecture too,
Assumptions challenge 'till they are true.
Deadlines loom, the scope may sprawl -
But here we are, who see it all.

You learn more about people when they die

Shape of the mouths
Silence of the footsteps
Harmony of the tears
Firmness of the handshakes
Emptiness of the buffet

Declare:
Were they in love or in need.

I'm Not Worried About AI

“I’m not Worried About AI”

Some people worry that AI will
Take over this world
Not me
I’m not worried about AI because:
AI can’t
Bust up laughing when it trips over its feet in front of a cute guy
Or
Feel the overwhelming sense of accomplishment after finishing its first marathon
AI can’t
Feel the depths of heartbreak from losing a baby
Or
Lose itself in the eyes of a person who just asked it to marry them
AI can’t
Have faith so strong that it is able to forgive someone who stole from them
Or
Experience serene gratitude as it bathes in the warmth of the sun
AI can’t
Burst with pride as it watches their child graduate from high school
Or
Surrender to the involuntary waves of an ****** as it makes love under the moonlight
AI
Will never know our reality
That is why
I'm not worried about AI

Premium Member Don't Know Much About History

Hot off the heels of Back in Black
A face melting 10 track
From the opening with cannon blast and more
It went to number one, Back in Black only number four
What? You question and rightly so
How did Back in Black peak so low?
Not sure, but none are out done
All AC/DC albums are number one
Even Powerage (the anti-disco disc)
And Flick of the Switch
Will scratch where you itch
      (don't scratch the vinyl)
Or Fly on the Wall some say
Doesn't fly the AC/DC way
Hey it's all AC/DC when tracks are laid down
So put it in the 8-track, cassette or CD player
     And rock your hometown
So when I listen to AC/DC my neighbors do too
All the way through (the mists of time):

For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)

(P.S. Thank you Daniel Mannix for the history of the Coliseum in Rome
AC/DC wouldn't have had the inspiration without reading your tome)

this isn't actually about flowers

i'm a small flower
a seed gifted to you by the universe
meant to grow under your care
flourish
people don't like getting seeds
they don't want to plant them
to care for them
to be responsible
they'd rather have a fully grown flower
no work, easy
put water in a vase, leave it to wilt
slowly watching it die
only watching
not interacting
as life slips away
why didn't you try to save me?
i could've been so beautiful
if only you wanted to plant me
help me grow
care
people don't really like getting flowers
flowers die
i died
why am i temporary in everyone's life?

Premium Member Let me tell you what I know about Piet Mondrian and Mark Rothko

Let me tell you what I know
about Piet Mondrian and Mark Rothko,
two painters so rectangular and square,
you'd swear there is no life there,
till you look with a little more precision,
a little bit more care.

What's Special About Man

Every privilege demands responsibility
To yourself, to your family and to others
The most privilege is to obey and serve God
For we have a soul for eternal salvation
For the soul is boundless and andless entity
Each has his own worth and accountability
Be sure to have an eternal insurance joyfully
Not nashing of teeth in the judgment day
Our title, our wealth, our profession is nil
Unless you are sure to hit the target of life
And that is to arrive your place of refuge surely
Life has given three scores and ten years
To find the salvation of your soul perfectly
For there is always a law of dimishing return
Life comes in this world weak and ends weak
We don't brag of what we have but be humble
For we came nothing and end nothing
But the soul whose real face all at the end
Give accounting and will face the judgment.

Premium Member It's ALL About ME!

Look at Me!, Look...At...ME!
I'm your "Golden Vision!"
Walking the "Red Carpet,"
Like "Stars" on Television!

I Love to tease the Guys,
The "Girls" too, I would say.
I just Flash my Big...Blue...Eyes
And, "ALL" come out to Play!

I have long, Golden Hair,
A Perfect little Smile.
My Teeth are Pearly White,
You can see 'em for a Mile!

Popping...Perfect...Perky...Breasts!
Sporting Long and Lanky Thighs!
My Buns are both in Sync,
Cuz, my "Tushy's" Synchronized!

I just Love my Smartphone,
There's no Rhyme or Reason!
One "QuikTrip" to "Walmart,"
"Yahoo!" It's Selfie-Season!

Sorry! God made "You"...Ugly,
I don't Pay for "His" Mistakes!
Some may say "I'm"...Plastic,
But, "Plastic's" what it Takes!

If "You" Play your Cards...Just Right,
Then, all This!, Is just for You!
Just bring that Credit Card...
Any Old Card will Do!

Premium Member The Last Poem About Us

25th high school reunion
Big Beaver Restaurant 1997

You somehow found
the seat next to me.

Showed me a picture
of your husband

Doesn’t he look like you?
--No—well---maybe--No

Later, I wanted to talk to you
--all night--

Hands in my pockets
by the dance floor

Unrestrained, we might have
taken a room out on Rt. 18

But that’s only me.
The next morning

my wife at the time
said that you were

still in love with me

Fast forward to the coming
55th and I will not entertain

Attendance at your beckon.
Our virtual cyber reunion

in recent years has covered
the things we might have

uttered over those motel pillows
in Beaver Falls by the truck stops,

those reasons why our youth at the time
was such a mutually delicious flaw

You are in a good place, now,
with bad knees,
While I am palpably exposed
Out Here in the ether

on the dance floor,
where
we might attend
to our mysteries.

how it came about

How it came about

It is impossible to imagine an endless Room
and no planets, and that one of them had
the possibility of life, planet Earth
A friendly planet not given to extremity, it
also had a temperate climate, sometimes it
could have been millions of years later, but
Since time didn't exist, that is academic
Green plants grew in soft soil, our planet
was that green fruit in the trees a livable place
without animal life, an abiogenetic period
That gave the beginning of what we call life
Finally, the emergence of the humanoid
that had a thinking brain that could solve
the problems of daily life and hunting
It is worth noticing that a creator was absent
But that and its many wars it caused were
endless war between races and their odd
faiths, based on an abstract Paradise
Not seeing our Paradise is also our planet

Premium Member wondering about a wisp

a wisp floated down
landing in the meadow bright
did faeries get it?

will they sew it into a pillow?
use it for a faerie blouse?
two dwarfs laugh.

I despise dwarfs.
they are thoughtless mind readers and bullies.
They tease me with mean finger gestures.

Being an adult
I stick out my tongue.

Premium Member Harold takes a Walk About

Harold the coffee pot jumped out of the card drawer and went on a walk
A chicken in the kitchen on top of the oven saw him and began to squawk
The coffee pot hushed her by promising her coffee if she would settle down
He was quickly ambushed by an overly inquisitive questioning silver clown.

I just want to take a walk, he told them. I have been in that drawer forever.
A stuffed dog began to follow him, licking his neck, his name was Clever.
Harold ran for his life and got into the drawer where he stayed.
with no desire to leave, which means he never again got lost or strayed.

Write a Poem About Halloween

Write a poem about Halloween.
The night to be seen.
Maybe a Halloween delight.
A poem with a lot of fright!

Write about ghosts and the basement.
Where the memories went.
Memories of the lost and found.
A twitchy sound.

Feeling like eating pumpkin pie?
Maybe I can feed it to my eye.
Why not, when my face is unglued?
And vines start to protrude.

Write a poem about Halloween.
Hope that it will be seen.
A ghost will haunt me.
I feel like a dead tree.

I feel like a tree stump.
Like a little bump.
Like a pimple on a nose.
Could pop at any time don’t you suppose?

Write a poem about Halloween.
With memories unseen.
Darkness unfurls everywhere.
Halloween is like a stray hair.

Like a stray hair.
Without a care.
A poem about Halloween is weird.
But strange things are much revered.

Write a poem about Halloween.
I did as if I was a living being.
I might be a skeleton but who really knows?
But I wrote a nice poem, I suppose.

Premium Member my feelings about homework

people who work
don’t have homework after work

students are in school six hours a day
all their work should be done there

after school should be a time for play
for the workers and their children

not time to spend on homework
that should have been done in school
