Your Simple Verse
A nighttime of highs
a lifetime of lows
scars, frights, a divine light
let me know what you know
a simple verse says so little
but means oh so much
takes me on a journey
with your soft gentle touch
time seems to stand still
for a moment or two
tonight with my thoughts
I'm living through you
seduced by sweet sonnets
make me feel you again
caught up in emotion
tears flow with your pen
sing to me your verses
so I fall love with your rhyme
let me dance inside your rhythm
and celebrate your good times
Open up my dear poet
Get me lost in your mind
Dream of a new day
and wisdom we'll find
