With Songs of God's Love In My Head

My first phrase was “Jesus Loves Me,” at least from what my mom has said. Before I had turned two or three, my first phrase was “Jesus Loves Me.” I think that I prayed easily, for by example I was led. My first phrase was “Jesus Loves Me” - at least from what my mom has said, With songs of God’s love in my head, I used to fall asleep at night. I’d kneel with mother by my bed with songs of God’s love in my head and Bible stories I’d been read. These guided me to choose the right. With songs of God’s love in my head, I used to fall asleep at night.

Andrea ...I wonder how the story continues and do you still fall asleep with songs of God's Love in your head your use of past tense make me wonder if this has changed...and that to me is what poetry is about...wondering about the continuation...great read cheers H

I have an over active imagination and many times at night I cannot sleep with all these images running through my head . . . I have found that if I sing this song in my head the images recede. Funny, at age 54, this simple song still has power. Outstanding write Sunflower!

This has me singing the song "Jesus loves me thins I know for the bible tells me so.." Life was so much simpler and sweeter then and faith was so easily understood. Wish we could all keep that innocence. Hugs!
