Wild Violets

Violets are one of my favorite flowers I haven't owned one in quite awhile Just viewing them gives me powers By lifting the spirits of this child I whispered to God just a little prayer How I would love to see Violets Their lavender and purple smile fair Looking out this morn saw nuggets Front yard looked like it was covered In an off-while looking lavender As if it has rained or snowed Lovely flowers_ violets africander (some would say weeds I say beauty)

beautiful! I liked how you slowly approached this in verse sara. Very well written. The castle verse you commeted on was a relationship, yes, not on solid rock.. so naturally, it washed away, yet today my faith has grown and my comprehension of how great outr Father in Heaven is! Thank God!!! Appologies for neglecting to comment you for a time... LIFE!!! hahaha, Cindy Cayton AKA Lucinda (first day of school name)

We always had African violets in the house and they were pretty little flowers. They were very hardy plants and would blossom fairly often. Reminds me of home with this pretty write. Love Phyl

Yes! Our back yard is rustic, a regular jungle, and it is covered with beautiful violets in the spring. Love, Dave

I have these violets growing wild in my backyard, Sara. I don't pull them out with other weeds because I love the color they add to the yard. Beautiful flowers, indeed. Maybe you should think about the violets as they prepare to do the back surgery. It might help you relax. Lovely poem! Carolyn

wow, that sounds so lovely. You really saw them just today?? It's so true, some that people call weeds are too beautiful to be just weeds. My hubbie thinks sunflowers are weeds and that is SO annoying. hahaha. WAs this for a contest, Sara?
