Whispers of Love
Whispers of love fall on my ear,
a gentle reminder making me feel
as though you were standing right here,
and it all seems so very real.
Wherever they come from, I do not know.
Those whispers of love fall on my ear
with a sound that is soft like the falling snow
or the purr of my kitty I so love to hear.
they let me know I need never fear,
not as long as I’m open to it -
your whispers of love fall on my ear,
for the light of your soul remains lit.
Although you’ve passed on, your light cannot die.
You’re far from me; yet you are near.
I’ll keep on believing and not question why
whispers of love fall on my ear.
