What Lurks Within For Contest
What Lurks Within
Like a genie-- the dust-encaptured sun
Has danced her way into the stony walls.
The single window was a challenge to take on
But the farmboy nicked the door to please his pa.
At first glance there was nothing in the room
It seemed a grey stone remnant of the past
Beauty slept within the stall that wept for broom
A lovely lass the boy could not resist
The napping milkmaid dream-giggled with delight
But awake she saw him through the hay-dust mist
The buxom lass with smiling kindness –hugged him tight
“When you 're ten years old I'll teach you how to kiss !"
