Flowers have taken
to their beds.
To remedy
weary heads.
Tinted leaves rain
blanketing down
tucked cozy, snug in
dormant ground.

Snowy slush
whispers white
windswept dogwood
serenade the night.
Shooting stars
glisten diamond dust.
swirling in
the stormy gust.

Dancing, prancing in
Wintrous chill.
flowers oblivious
against the spill.
Infinitely nature's
surmise, another
season in disguise.

Eager for that
moment to rise
mottled heads.
Sprouting up,
Hues bright on
melted beds.
How fitting is a
season's amend.
not to fret where
warmth has been.

How I love this........a weary season put to rest, and not to fret where warmth has been. Love that line!!!

I really like the flow to this one..Enjoyed reading your thoughts about the summer season ends...Thanks for the honor of placing in your contest..I have been sick now today is two weeks..I went to the doctor on Wednesday and it seems that the antibiotics are helping but it will take a few more days for me to be up and at them again..Sara

Masterpiece. You know it. Because of it's technique and way you put it together. Every word has its place.
