Walking Back
The moon savored the day...
When darkness poured away...
Chills that crawl with motivation...
Bittersweet thoughts of desperation...
I stare down a road where no color has a place...
Where only my eyes could draw and trace...
A picture of brightness where music plays...
Still black and white curtains paint the day...
A song in the distance to far away to hear...
Faint whispers of dreams left to burn without fear...
I continue to walk as the lights go dim...
Back to a place where I had long ago been...
