Vietnam Is Now a Memory

Vietnam is now a memory A story of the past Simplicity is no more an ending Yet to have life is our sacred gift   Vietnam is now a memory Many scars we bear to show What glowing smiles will you find? Amongst the rubble of our homes Vietnam is now a memory I stand by the old memorials I saw my Father’s grave in woe What tears I have to show!   Vietnam is now a memory Blood has covered our only hopes Vietnam is now a memory And now were all alone!

Vietnam is still a nightmare more than a memory for my brother and many of my friends. We accomplished nothing but the execution of our young. Our government showing us we were expendable. Congratulations on your poem being featured. Vince
