Vanished

Two beach chairs sit side by side, one beneath a red umbrella. They face a sea that curves along the shore out to where a lone white sail now drifts . . . where blue of sea meets sky and land’s vanished, like the occupants of those two wooden chairs. This could go either happy or sad. But I love that about well-written poetry that allows the reader to write the ending in their imagination. I imagine a couple taking off on a romantic sailboat voyage. How did you imagine it?

Thanks, Andrea. Yes, I do have just such a friend. I am lucky, however, she does live in another state. I was the one who moved north. Beautiful poem you have written - you are so talented! I think you love the beach - me too! Good luck in Linda-Marie's contest. Luv, Maureen x

:-) What a lovely painting. I had a lovely border up in my bedroom back at the house that had two empty Adirondack chairs. Oh, I loved looking at that border, it was so peaceful and restoritive. I know Linda Marie will love this, too. But then, who wouldn't ;-) Hope you're doing well. It is so late. I must go to bed! Hugs, Cyndi

When winter has it's fridgid way, it's hard to picture such a bay. So I hope you know just what it means. To those of us who dream of such scenes. To hear the words decribed for us. Makes us wish we were on your magical bus.

What a wonderful write my friend! I love that this is on a beach, with two cool chairs and an umbrella! And to top it off you put a sailboat out in the blue water! Gorgeous descriptions brings me to that exact location! I have to admit, I am one of the people that the chairs belong to! OK, I'm not correct with this statement, but I sure do wish I was! Thank you for the illustrious description for my mind! You have done very well with this poem...Excellent Work!!
