Turn Around

Turn East turn West
Whichever way the view is best
Turn North turn South
Open your ears and shut your mouth

Turn around and take a look
Where’s it gone the babbling brook?
This once was a green a pleasant land
Until they got red brick in their hand

Turn around another estate
When will it stop is it too late
Turn around fox in your garden
As tarmac on his den does harden

Turn round and tell the developers no
Let them know it’s time to go
Retain our green and pleasant land
Red brick piles should be banned

Turn West turn East
Think about the wild beast
Turn South turn North
Let green land once again spring forth
