¿Dos fantasmas teniendo sexo?

Listen to poem:
I chase you through the alleys of my mind Your quickened steps ensure you're out of reach My tears collect then run much like my feet You cannot see or hear their silent speech And in the shadows of forgotten dreams I strain to see the beauty of your face Before that blessed dawn of surety Illusive to my heart, you leave no trace The fragrance of your body lingers still And creature like possessed, I follow on It promises your presence just beyond Pursuit's reward unreached, for you have gone I wander still through alleys of my mind There to remain until your heart I find. Eileen, I was so happy to find this sonnet today, not just for its excellent writing, but to hear your lovely voice adding that extra dimension. Wonderful! Brian Strand is collecting links to poems with audio recordings - would you mind if I recommend he add this beauty to his list? Let me know. ~ John

Always love your sonnets Eileen--interesting rhyme scheme in these newer ones - please share what your inspiration for that is or is it simply contemporary expression?

You should record all your work Eileen. I listened after I read it and the way you emphasized different phrases gave me a different perspective. Very well done...

The potent longing for your elusive lost love is so beautifully and sadly gentle in its rhythmic expression. Eileen. Your lovely voice highlights the yearning emotions and graceful imagery that reaches deeply into the places of my being that relate so strongly with your superb sonnet. Brilliant writing! Warmest wishes always, dear poetess.. ~Susan

Thank you, my esteemed poet. I'm glad to have a visit from you. It does not compare to your uplifting poem about spiritual fortitude; however, a strange mood had come upon me when I wrote it. I'm glad you liked it. Blessings.

A super write written and spoken, you've such a lovely voice, Eileen, the mind indeed is such a deep place with so much to venture into so this is sublime indeed. Hope you're ok in this virus crisis, keep safe and healthy. Check this scripture, Isaiah 26: 20 for it's so apt for the present times. God bless always, Gordon

Thank you, Gordon. Isaiah is my second favorite author after Paul. The Lord allows good and bad, rain and sun. We cannot only take the good. He will protect us, if it is in His will to do so, and if not...remember the verse in Philippians 1: 29. Thank you for your visit and encouragement. Blessings.

Thank you, Richard. I've done some radio and TV work for our church. I enjoy public speaking. I thought to do something different. I might do more of these, as time allows. I appreciate your second visit. :)

Thanks, Mike. I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. I've missed writing so much. Lately there seems to be one thing after another that keeps me away. I hope you are keeping well. Blessings.

I like the raw feeling of this piece. It feels like losing myself in an old black and white movie scene. I like the play of shadow and light. Hugs Rick.
