Things

sun and rain pleasure and pain war and peace love and the brain the act of love is a curious thing it starts in the heart with the eyes that sing there is an exchange between the two a time set aside for me and you sipping tea adding glue then the stories and secrets are told "what are you now that your this many years old?" calling on the phone going places together giving each other hugs writing sweet letters then that one thing happens that turns things around a hint of jealousy makes a little sound thoughts are suspicions and eyes magnify we hate competitions and ask ourselves why what we thought was beautiful was a doorway to hell we should never make heaven in this world sages tell should we love in earnest until they break our hearts with each and every new love with the end is how to start

Competition can provoke jealousy. Not a feeling of happiness which should come into a relationship. God Bless Phyl

Interesting write in this one. But love can continue even through little unpleasant experiences if both parties are willing to work through the tough times. I really like lines starting at # 5 onward to the then. Keep the creative pen flowing. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Sara

A beautiful poem John, I refused to blink through reading that so that I would not interrupt the flow. But don't look at love as something that can be broken, love is an emotion, deep happiness that comes from a relationship. Our emotions are unyielding, seldom in our control, and as sadness can take the reins of our hearts from happiness, so can jealousy from love.

NO!!!!! I won't give up my fantasy that love is real, can exist, and man can learn to bring a little bit of heaven to earth... That is IF we live perfectly. Jealousy is the first step to the destructions of love. Too sad. Great write here, John iii (And thanks for reading and commenting on my work.) Lovingly, Dane Ann
