There For Me

When I am in need you walk beside me, when my dreams have fallen by the wayside. You gently pick up the pieces. If the heart is, in sorrow, You mend it together. You are, my eternal guiding light Shining in my darkest hour. You are there to lead me In my daily life. When I am weary and discouraged, and the heart aches. You gently place your hand in mine giving it love and strength. Guiding me on my way, no longer thirsty. we hold hands in silence.

linda is a bit confused as to whose hands you are holding. husbands hands are helpfull but ar'nt there everytime husbands hands are nice but there is nothing like the divine. john

Phyllis, this is wonderful, sweetie. I am happy that you posted a new poem for me to see here tonight. I sure wish I saw more of them from you! My poem the Perfect ONe, reminds me of this person you wrote of here. The subject of my poem does not exist so far as I know. Is this one made up in your poem or is it real?
