The real wealth

The real wealth.

Some folks like to dream a lot
About every little thing
They dream of having riches
And they want life to bring
Fame and fortune, love and joy
But they don’t even know
That all one really needs in life
Is that soft, sweet, tender glow.

I’ve met a lot of rich men
And read those tales of fame
Why would one ever want this?
It’s not my kind of game
I’ve looked at all the misery
That’s wrote into the eyes
Of those who thing they own the world
They never win the prize.

The prize be in you all the time
But most folk do not know
They live within those tiresome thoughts
They’ve lost sweet nature’s flow
They never hear that tiny whisper
That shadow deep within
They’re buried way beneath their truth
By the weight of all minds din.
