The Message

The wind I asked, A message of my love for you to carry And with its sweet breeze, I begged, the softest of Kisses on your enviable lips from me to place, A reminder to you that Your presence I miss, your love and Your affection While dreaming of your blessed Return. The wind, Eager to please, Opened its lofty wigs and flew to all Directions, Searching for you everywhere, my urgent Message to deliver The time passed, Waiting became unbearable as hours, days and months, Declined to advance So Autumn wind brought no reply Neither did that of winter’s or that Of spring’s Then The summer came and with it, the Long-awaited wind, finally, arrived But The breeze I had once sent, unrecognizable, had Now returned: A howling hurricane For You, my love, had my kiss Rejected! © Demetrios Trifiatis 19 SEPTEMBER 2014

I think you would agree, my dear Anne Lise, that love should not be a fast lane process for we see the results! On the other hand I am a hard-dying romantic and give the "wine" time to mature! Thank you so much! Have a wonderful weekend in the countryside!

This reminds of a Sanskrit poem by Kalidas, "The Meghdoot" meaning The Cloud messenger sending his message through clouds to his beloved like you are sending message through the wind. Demetrios

Dr. Ram, although I ignore the poem you are referring to, I am not surprised, for Heraclitus, the Greek philosopher had said that those who speak the truth speak the same language, regardless of space and time. Since love is a universal truth then it is normal to be repeated. Thank you, Dr. Ram for bringing this to my attention, I feel happy that I had the same inspiration as great Kalidas
