The Magic of Christmas

The magic of Christmas Finds its foundations in God’s love; Showered down from heaven Like snowflakes from above; The children singing carols And the fairy lights so sweet; The joy of peace and good will Offered to all we meet. The magic of Christmas Began two thousand years ago, When Christ was born in a manager; Humble beginnings for God’s child below. The three wise men bearing gifts— Worthy of a king’s majesty; The Star of Bethlehem shining bright To lead them to this child of heavenly beauty. The magic of Christmas Is still with us today, As long as we remember God’s greatest gift to portray. For God’s great love shown to mankind Is the reason for the season; Giving unselfishly to others Demonstrates heaven’s liaison. The magic of Christmas Brings excitement for all; The excitement of family gatherings; The good times to recall. It’s a time to offer love, peace and joy To loved ones and those in need; Indulge in unselfish giving For each gift is God’s love seed. Maureen LeFanue
