The Last Peep

THE LAST PEEP The dawn knocked at the night’s door That was sleeping on the time’s floor Sunrays rushed in, starting to play Night out went, and in came the day Stars, at once, vanished from the sky As the sun proudly climbed up high Over the clear skies rode with glee His likeness upon the waters trying to see I observed him gallop from East to West When his work was done, he wanted to rest Kissed the day goodnight, all set ready to sleep But before going down HE had a very last PEEP! © Demetrios Trifiatis 17 February 2013

A poem, about night and day. It is briliant how the sun says good night and takes a last peep. Thanks for sharing. Lucilla

Very nicely done Demetrios, seems we find ourselves having that last peep too. Watching the very last gold slip away....

Very nice. I love poems of nature. especially ones that involve the suns journey across the sky. This was quite enjoyable. I don't mean to toot my own horn but I have a few if you would like to read. They are, "The Crimson Lips Of Dawn" and "The Passing Of A Day". Thanks for sharing. Rockman :-)
