The Heavens Declare Gods Glory

Based on Psalms Chapter 19 The Heavens Declare God’s Glory; The skies declare the works of his hands. They whisper to us night after night; Shine their light on all the lands. There’s no tongue or language Where their whispers are not heard. How can man say, “There is no God”— How utterly absurd! God pitched a tent for the sun And an annex for the moon. When we explore the heavens We can truly swoon. Hubble keeps discovering more galaxies Than men can ever count; More than the grains of sand That on the seashores mount. The beauty of the heavens Can be explored in astronomy; Such beauty God created For the likes of you and me. God’s majesty and power Is declared in the evening sky. Moonlight on the ocean; Such beauty none deny. The stars twinkle in their tiaras And the moon glows like pure gold. Such beauty declares God’s glory, But few stop this beauty to behold. The prefer to ignore God’s creation And see their night-lights instead. Many will ignore God’s glory, Until the sun, He tucks in bed! Copyright © Maureen LeFanue 2012 www.maureenlefanue.com
