Author's Notes: "The Full Moon Makes Faces Tonight," is a couplet that I completed on June 14, 2017. I actually wrote this particular poem about a rather curious full moon at night while pondering, at times, its hidden mysteries and shades of romantic and comedic intrigue, and marveling at its obvious cosmic beauty and wonder. The moon for sure has a very special place in the contemporary and historical worlds of literature and poetry. The moon, and all of the literary symbolism and meaning surrounding its ancient and contemporary existence, has left an indelible mark on the psyche of mankind writ large. Enjoy this particular fantasy-illusion with the unique word picture I present here as it walks the reader toward basking and bathing in this full moon's lunar light on this darkest of night.
