A sunny day has beckoned me. Fearless, I begin as innocence leads me forth. Leaving my lofty spirit realm, will I slip into an abyss? The path is unknown, but it has to take me home! Written Jan. 28, 2015 by Andrea Dietrich for the Tarot Cards Poetry Contest of nette onclaud My theme was #1: an interpretation of the fool

I particularly like the later coupling of "abyss" with its half-rhyme, "fearless". Julia, :)

I'm sure I read this one before, but there's no comment below! Positivity is the theme of this poem; a fine day that beckons the fearless and innocent to venture forth into the unknown, full of faith! Congratulations on a fine win, Andrea! #7 hugs // paul

I love the illogical determination a the end. The fool stepping out fearless onto shaky ground.

I am thinking that your last two lines in this piece cleverly lets us know he is the fool. I couldn't think of anything for this contest. You did great!

Sitting here with goose bumps. "Innocence leads me forth... the path is unknown" What well constructed words.

Andrea, quite an interesting approach but then again you are a star when it comes to thinking outside of the box. :) Wishing you the best for the contest. You were spot on with your analysis on my poem it was for a friend, hopefully he embraces the lessons learned :) enjoy your Thursday.. its extremely hot here in Cape Town

interesting take on the fool card. instead of just playing out the obvious meaning you took it to a deeper level.

Temporary fearlessness. The fool has wised up. It's like leaving the theater, back to earth. Hope all is well with you Andrea. Peace. :)

Ahhh . . . I'm not into Tarot Cards poetry and don't know if there is a Tarot Cards poetry way to comment. Anyway, I liked the simplicity of the poem and the mystery ("will I slip into an abyss?") as you walk unknown paths. Good write.
