And they offer those dead creatures as a gift to us, yuck! Trust me I've seen many mice that our outdoor cats find and offer to us at our doorstep, such a pleasant way to start the morning's trek to work! I surely enjoyed reading your delightful and cleverly written poem here this evening! What a brilliant piece my friend, Great Work!!

A warrior proud carrying his prize . . . the hunt, the chase, and the trespasser. Awesome haiku, loved it. Your question: whenever she wants, like most females in any species, especially human!

I give you a top rating for an interesting haiku, Sara....for the fact that it makes me think; should a housecat (supposedly well fed) go hunting? or has it been neglected? I suppose a lioness roars when hunting or protecting her young! // paul

wonderful haiku I am not sure of the answer to the question - protecting young or looking for a mate would be my guess:-) Hugs Jan xx
