The Beast Within

We all pride ourseves because we live in the year 2015 A year in which humanity so much progress has seen Violence and hatred we thought were things of the past And war and terror, we believed, were not possible to last Then a moment comes that an appalling act takes place That makes all of us to look ourseves in the face We then realize with much horror and a lot of disgust That the beast Man carries within, may turn the world to dust! © Demetrios Trifiatis 17 November 2015

Stop wondering my friend, Tim. People do not take peace seriously and they do not work to establish God's kingdom on earth. The majority pays only lip service to God's word! Always waiting God to do everything! It is time Man resume his responsibilities. Of course God is on our side if we really are ready to work for it! Thank you for your support!

Yes, my dearest friend, the last line says it all BUT people prefer to close their eyes and read about things that have not that much importance refusing to see the truth and try to rectify things that are wrong. Many poems that are pleasing are read by many those that are serious by very few. How are we going to solve the problem if we refuse to accept there is a problem? Hello Demetrios!! Every word of your couplet is well-said certainly reflective of "The Beast That Man Carries Within." This is much like the common ills of Mankind: Tyranny, Poverty, Disease, Famine, and War!!
