Oh, technology, You, robber: Of our hearts Of our minds Of our very souls Slaves have we become To you Having given up our dreams Our ambitions Our feelings So Here and there, aimlessly Are we driven, Sightless Heartless Mindless Soulless Against our will Against our beliefs Against our humanity Consequently Instead, of you technology, A servant of ours to be Subservient, to you technology, have We become! © Demetrios Trifiatis 30 July 2015

Absolutely agree with you my dear, Dr. Upma, for I wouldn't be alive today if technology was not around, however, we have to look at the large picture. Just think of how much carbon dioxide is emitted in the atmosphere each day because of technology, just to bring a small example. Although we are aware of the damage we cause, do we stop? No! Have we lost the measure? The answer is YES!

Do not get me wrong. Technology has done and it is doing a lot of good things for which we will pay dearly very soon. Technology should be used with wisdom and care not with folly and ignorance. Man although he sees what is doing to the environment he cannot stop. His heart desires only to get more and more but the heart never thinks at what cost, I am afraid. The environment will give the answers for it has laws that cannot be violated after a certain point. Thank you, dear nette for your kind visit.
