Take Flight

Speckled bird in the grass, nothing to lack I’m looking at him and he’s looking back The exchange is sweet simplicity There is no fear, no duplicity Oh to be under those wings & go with him I suppose Take flight and lift me from my solitary repose With a wink of the eye, soar into azure treasure And with a sigh, journey into heaven’s pleasure If the bird’s wings I could only reach Life’s mysteries he would seemingly teach For now I must remain earthbound My feet chained by promises profound The tiny bird slips away Leaving my thoughts astray Forever and a day and never may I wait patiently for my restless heart to say

I love this, except for the use of the word "seemingly" in the third stanza. It doesn't sound fitting.
