Sunshine and Rain
Sunshine and Rain
Life is a mixture
Of sunshine and rain.
Joy in the morning
Can give way to an evening of pain.
We don’t know what’s around the corner
Or what tomorrow will bring.
Whether the sun will shine in the morning,
Or the birds will fail to sing.
When the sun is rising,
It kisses the ocean waves,
But it can turn on a Tsunami
And send thousands to watery graves.
Each day can bring forth laughter,
Or it can bring forth tears.
Whether the sun will shine or it will rain,
Has nothing to do with the days or years.
Each day we’re faced with comparisons;
Life’s filled with the bitter and the sweet.
There’s not a soul exempted
From the pain or pleasure we meet.
We may think that others have it easy,
But we cannot see their load.
Only the Lord knows each one’s troubles,
And the hardships on their road.
Whether your life’s filled with sunshine
Or whether it’s filled with rain,
Only focus on what’s beautiful,
Not hardships and their stain.
Try to see it as a comfort
That trouble visits us all.
Thank God for your blessings,
When the sunshine or rain do call!
