Sun fades from autumn skies with rainbow light Then the gloaming will darken skies with night. Roosting birds return to boughs, a grand sight, As twilight shadows captures them in flight When the pale moon tests our will and our might While rising slowly to her lofty height, Causing lovers to kiss, or foes to fight. Enchanted moon will soon fade in soft light As the sunrise again conquers the night. 8-24-16 Monorhyme mania - Poetry Contest Sponsor John Hamilton

Oh, thank you Lin. Someone told me they didn't care for it, but I know monorhyme's are not for everyone. Still after they told me that, I had little hope of it making the list, so I am very pleased it is high on the list. I appreciate your support Lin. I loved yours as you know. Cheers, Connie ; )

Connie, do you remember when I wrote a really long one about the moon and its glory? This reminds me of my thoughts but in a sweet condensed form and adding in the wonderful sun!! You did a great job, dearie.

You have written a few about the moon Andrea. Not sure which one? Actually this poem concentrates more on my favorite time of day or night which is twilight. Thank you Andrea. ; )

Yes Connie, the ebb and flow of day and night. I like when the sun and moon are both visible at the same time. You have to know where to look. You are a child of nature and so cool!!
