Stripped At the Cross
Stripped At the Cross
" 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them,
triumphing over them by the cross." Col 3:15 NIV
Satan’s power was Stripped At The Cross.
His unholy alliance made a spectacle;
His power and authority finally lost
Through Christ’s sacrificial miracle.
Christ triumphed at the cross
Over evil and its snare,
Leaving no doubt to Satan’s evilness—
To all the universes laid bare.
Christ’s body lay there naked;
A portrayal of evil’s injustice.
For no sin had He committed;
His crucifixion an act of Satan’s malice.
To the world it seemed He’d lost,
But in reality He’d won.
Because His Father loves us
Enough to sacrifice His Son.
Before Christ’s selfless sacrifice,
God’s law was a burden to man.
But after His death on Calvary;
Could set free every bondman.
Christ came to fulfill the law;
Not to do away with any part.
That’s why it’s no longer a burden;
But love and joy it does impart.
Because Satan was Stripped At The Cross,
We have nothing to fear.
Christ claimed us back again,
With His personal sacrifice so dear.
When we give our lives to Christ,
He enables us to overcome.
The Holy Spirit renews our minds;
To Satan’s temptations we become numb.
