Stormy Day

In windswept prairies winter snow comes plummeting down Its freezing bite stings the cheeks While eyes can hardly open Stinging crystals make you blind wind whirls and twirls these pebbles Whipping them with great speed hands turn blue in minutes while you forget to breathe bitter cold bites the bones while your slowly turn to stone snow piles become white dunes all will become impassable soon Blocking all within its path North wind blows his fury Blowing out his wrath 1/10/13

phyllis, I see you have yet another nature poem. I think this is your forte. YOu always describe the natural world so well. be it stormy, rainy or sunny, you are in tune with it and make it very visual in your poetry. Glad to see these two new posts today.
