Just a prayer of gratitude.
You're such a good and loving God,
To take such care of me.
Though I don't deserve it,
Still Your love is free.
You came into a barbarous world,
Steeped in sin's corruption;
A world so vile it seemed to be,
Bent on self destruction.
You laid aside Your Glory,
And disguised as a simple man,
You bravely entered in the fight,
To re-assert Your plan.
You bought back all who are Your Own.
You never flinched or wavered.
You spilled Your precious Royal Blood,
To reinstate God's favor.
I wonder now could I withstand,
What You willingly went through;
And would again for just one man,
If e'er You needed to.
Could I ever be that brave?
I don't think I could.
It's only You within me, Lord.
Only You are good.
