Smells of Spring

smells of spring gentle rain falling on the thirsty ground soaking into the brown barren ground from winters past bringing beauty green alive mowed the fragrance lingering in the air the smells of spring

The one word lines work well and is a creative approach to sharing your thoughts. Nice use of imagery and alliteration. Thank you for all the kind comments on my poetry. Your encouragement is greatly appreciated. Karen

Well, we don't have that quite here yet either, but we don't have snow either thank goodness! Love the affect of this one word line poem. And I am smelling the grass, (probably while sneezing!) But that's ok. Lovely write. Love, Shar

Hi Rhonda We still have about six inches of snow here where I live in Alaska. I can't wait, another 3-4 weeks to go until we get the grass again. Your poem is a beautiful portrait of spring, and I can smell the grass all the way from here ha! Thanks for the smile. Take care hun. Love Light Truth Patricia
