Lovely Haiku. It brings to mind the cycle of life, death, and rebirth through death. Very thought inspiring.

Why didn't I see this? Why did I not comment on this? Probably was one of my down in the dump days. I loved your haiku P.D. I wish you would write more poetry and post it. I know you are busier then a hound scratching his butt these days. But do write more soon. Thank you for the comments you leave on my poems. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours Linda. Love, Carol

Hi Linda~I am crazy for haikus since all these haiku contests towards the end of this year. Thank u for honoring my poetry and sponsoring the Neopolitan Haiku contest. That was probably the highlight of my enthusiasm in poetry this entire yr! You brighten so many of the poets' days thru your writing and your encouraging contests. It gives everyone a shot at success...the 2 images in these haiku are great..the silent trigger and the long-legged grasshopper. Hope your bro-n-law is ok. Wishing u and your family well.

Nice imagery, these could be read a variety of ways and imply some deeper philosophical meaning. Nothing wrong with it simply being a fox and a grasshopper though, just a lively jaunt through nature. Excellent.
