Hi... Just passing through.  Life is very busy, so not much time for poetry.

Not really in love with poetry at the moment, for many a reason.

Hope you are all well and thank you for always supporting me.

Peace and Blessings.

"When the Grim Reaper asked for my spirit, I told him to take my poetic pen. He walked away smiling, leaving me illiterate." In the mystical wilderness of virtual poetry, surrounded by metaphors that mystify my mind, I've become a shadow of the poet I once knew. Insecure with egotistical lame labels, tormented by attention seeking tags, irritated from imitative compliments. Exhausted eyes sting, bloodshot from reading an overuse of mumbo jumbo jargon. On the edge of personification, symbolic syllables burn all desire to scrutinize. Sometimes there can be too many words, sometimes not enough, yet we veil the true meaning of our thoughts. I guess there is an art to pretending, yet I watch my artistry fade. We weave webs turning the internal into external, but I question whether I was ever a poet. Pondering if my poems served a purpose. I have lost patience for personal prose, rhymes without rhythm sound so revolting, the soul is sick of old fashioned sonnets. as iambic pentameter has always been my enemy. I hear alphabetic patrol sirens, their ignorant judgment is a mockery to the bilingual. An assassination of alliterations, is causing a massacre of my muse. There is a void in my verses, which prevents me from roaming free. My soul feels like a starless supernova, a moonless sky drifting into a black hole, as fatigued fingers become a mistress to simple scribbles. I yearn to be forever silent, with no motive to write for a legacy, so I've imprisoned my muse in an asylum. I have lost passion to spill the ink from my quill, so I no longer tend to the petals in my poetic garden. I've found peace in the solitude of a blank canvas. Silent One 15 February 2022

Sigh. Even when your artistry is supposedly failing, you produce a masterpiece. I especially love that last line, "I've found peace in the solitude of a blank canvas." I do hope it is true that you have found peace. God bless you, friend.

We all go through writers' block and don't have a muse. Sometimes we need that break... I am glad you are writing poetry and you have done so well. You have so much emotion in your writes. I am glad you are still writing and that I have discovered your poetry. Love what you do, like what you write, and hope you are doing well. Stay safe and God bless you Silent one! <3 ~Anna

Silent One, Dear Poet, as is the handle I have given only to a few though it goes unnoticed to all but those that know, care but care not for doubt, for poetry is a bubbling caldron that rises when it is supposed to rise no matter how much we want it to be constant, and there is the rub for there is joy in the writing, there are many who write poetry not many who have the emotional depth to write with their soul... you Dear Poet are such a poet

You are a poet of note SO and , I don't believe you are pretending, and I am not complimenting, merely stating a fact, your artistry is not fading, perhaps it is all about a poet who needs to unburden himself, poetic talent is what you have - never underestimate your poignant writes. Hugs and blessings - Jennifer.

Stunning work my friend, the word dichotomy comes to mind, creating the 'half-thought' of all you reject, nice...

When someone you love dearly dies, I have found, it took the joy out of writing. I couldn’t write anything for months. I am very slowly finding my way back to Poetry. I am not sure if this pertains to you but if it does, be kind to yourself and give yourself time to return to something you are spectacular at creating. Congratulations on POTD. Love and Blessings, Connie

Dear Silent Good Morning. Congratulations on this POTD before us. I hope this is your creativity and skill and not your mindset. If it is your mindset take all the time you need. We all go through busy and stressful lives with understandings. Be safe and be well. Congratulations once again.

"I've found peace in the solitude of a blank canvas" This is where it all starts, how words come to be and how moments are painted in poetry. Being silent is perfectly okay, because words will find you, when the time is right. They always do. Congratulations Silent One, on Poem of the Day. My best to you. ~ Brandy
