Seeing God In Nature

I am God. In the quiet of night, I am there. In nature's red sunset, I watch you sit and stare. When you wrap your arms around a majestic oak, listen, in your heart, I spoke. I send wind that rustles through earth's leaves, and past crops rippling in the breeze. Each new day, I rise in a blue sky, and send you flashing silver rays. That's me waving "Hi!" __________________________________ Date: July 29, 2015 For Contest: Nature poem Sponsor: Shadow Hamilton Words that must be used in poem: blue sky, red sunset, quiet of night, leaves, majestic oak, crops rippling in the breeze.

Hi, phy, thanks for your comments. I'm enjoying my "older generation" years. You are on the younger side of that. But I am happy to have you as a friend on the Soup. I like your haiku's that I've recently read. ~~Darlene

Hi, Delice, I haven't heard from you in a while. Thanks for reading this poem. My poems where I write about God, don't do well in contests, or sometimes, I don't even make the list! But we'll see! I hope you're right. Someone wrote a nice poem about butterflies in nature. So why not God who make the butterflies! Anyway, if you and others like this poem, then that is gratifying to me. ~~Darlene

Thanks, diane! Another poem for the contest that is my favorite, so far, is Paul Gray's "Evening's Promise." Have you read it?
