Blue waves danced around her slim ankles
Evening winds caressed her delicate neck
The lascivious sand rubbed raw pleasures
Into that aching body that was she

She arched forward in desire's stupor
Thirsty eyes longing in deep brown haze
Wet legs basked their shimmering length
Bronzed high in drunken poetry

She wrapped her longing around her body
Moving to the sea's heady rhythm
Wind-blown hair hugging her waist
Sun-bleached in salt, tugging at need

She walked towards chance
Her body heaving on the edge
Taut with secret, wanton frissons

Seduction's prowl on desert hearts
Desert rain on parched souls...

Remember you speak with your handwriting and people will listen. so no matter how old a poem is, the fire lives on.

we all grow in our writing, and that means our views and emotions do change to better our writing. i do get that feeling about my old work. but its something that helps me appreciate where i am with my poetry right now. and if i feel they read the same,i take a brake and read some books to help me shift the focus of my writing for little.

Thank you, thank you:) this was something written long ago, i don't think I can write the same again, I seemed to have moved on, just a little bit... do you feel that way about your work? like some don't quite hold the sparkle you once were convinced it had? most of my earlier work somehow all reads the same to me, but then i decided to post anyhow because i hadn't written anything new since a while. but i am so glad you and the others liked it so much, that's means a lot.
