Sea of White

The northern breeze blew softly Ground drifts crossed the snowy ground Snowflakes tossed and tumbled The wind abated, leaving only stillness, in the air The sun was shining, creating a bright white glaze A sea of white along with shifting snow dunes Appeared on the horizon and beyond The stark white had no contrast to the surrounding landscape Devoid of color, the sky loomed looking like it was bleached The mist rolled in creating a sea of white.

I don't want to see anymore seas of white. I'm sick of the winter. However, I like your work.

You have just saved me the cost of airfare to see a winter wonderland, Phyllis. When the landscape meets a sky of white clouds, it does resemble a sea of white. Beautiful descriptions! Love, Carolyn
