Sea Bride

Across the white sand waters meld of teal and turquoise hue, in sunlight, emerald facets, in shadow, grays of blue, first breaking light of heaven, tinted sky in tones of shell, dancing lights, pearl pink and saffron, fleck the bosom of the swell. On waves of crisper coral the majestic sun ship sails, bright bride aflame in glory blushed beneath her misty veils. Such beauty blinds my vision; my gaze is downward drawn to vanilla foam soft swirling in the footprints of the dawn. Copyright, April 16, 2014

Your "Sea Bride" brought to mind my late father. He, too, was an artist - creating lovely visions on canvas. You have done the same ... but using digital paper and electronic words. I've been most impressed in reading it.

Exquisitely written. I am a sea lover and this really touched me. I can smell it, "sea" it, hear it, feel it. I have a distinct image of footprints leading out to sea and a sense of all the thoughts that leave me. Look forward to reading your work. Jornjorn.

Amazing poem... such vivid descriptions, yet keeping the rhyming pattern, too. My favourite line is "Bright bride aflame in glory"... very impressive.
