Sardinia

The fish is as fresh as sea
Thirsty birds drink by the pool
The sand like lemon sherbet
falls from my feet
and the sea calmly laps
and climbs the rocks with giant arms.

The locals look care less
but are not careless
when serving cold beer, pasta and pizza
and olive oil.

The old town is an old friend
which you feel safe within

in sardinia,

the sun roars with furious anger
and I am happy.

Wish I was there. Seen a lot of the Med and the North Atlantic. Some places just take a piece of your heart and when you leave that piece stays there. Vince

Mama always told me if you have nothing good to say about someone's writing walk away, thus I shall walk away from this piece.
