Sailing For Land

Cloudy days at the edge of earth Where the ship of my soul found no berth I prayed for a lands sight To save me from this oceanic plight I had a broken compass To find my way And the clock was timeless The rout was astray Slowly towards the bottom I sank From the missing part Not just the boats shank But of my heart I needed a port For some support So I could dock And escape the shock Of my crazed life And leave all this strife One day I found such place And there was no trace Of struggle, pain, or fear I had found the right pier To put my trust in that day

Welcome Mathew ,I like the nautical flavour to your story you tell here,(perhaps re-arranged into four equal five line stanza eg omit L2 of the 3rd and precis stanza 1 & 2 into two equal 5 line verse would make it visually more compact .Just a thought).may your poetic gifts flow .Rgds Brian & thanks for your welcome comments
