Rhymezone

I respect only poets Who know how to rhyme Warm, fuzzy writings That read just like mine. Other forms are too easy Like spending a dime Don’t bother to read them They’re wasting my time. For example the Beatniks Ginsberg, Kerouac or Sinclair Stoned out of their minds, For them I don’t care. It’s about velvet, lilies, the sun and the moon Which inspire true poets To rhyme and to bloom. So please let’s not argue Which poet’s the best I dream about verses, The hell with the rest.

Hey buddy, how have you been? Loved this tongue-in-cheek parody - the underlying sarcasm had me grinning from ear to ear! Have a great 2009! Peace always, J.

My poem was never directed to my very talent poet friends like yourself Rhoda. I was just having fun with those poets that are a bit narrow minded.

Hey, this flows pretty well! I like the message and the essence of the poem. Both rhyming and non-rhyming poems are great to me. This is excellent. Great job! ~ Joseph

Oh for goodness sake, some people have no manners. Didn't anyone ever tell you if you didn't have anything nice to say than just zip it - directed to first commenter. Ugh, how rude. Honestly Jaime, I know and admire all forms of your poetry. This is actually different for you! My favorite line is the velvet, lilies, the sun and the moon. A part of me is wondering if you aren't being sarcastic here. Hmmm...you are always full of surprises indeed. Happy Thanksgiving my dear! Love, Shar
