Rain
He says this stupid rain
As he runs to the car
But later he was happy
For a cool drink of water
The rains a gift of nature
The most important part of our life
The most precious of all
Without it nothing can survive
And yes I am guilty also
Of saying this dumb rain
When we have to go outside
And it just keep falling
We so take it for granted
Cause we have it in abundance
While in some poor counties
They pray for it to fall just once
Some evil governments
Use it to suppress the people
Then they sit in the United Nations
and the world pretends they don’t know
In refuge camps parents are helpless
as children die for a drink of water
While in some other countries
We use it to wash our car
The beautiful falling rain
Or should I say the stupid rain
Is the most precious gift of god?
It belongs to every living thing
It had one time in Trinidad
And I can remember it still
The sun was out down the street
And rain was falling up the hill
I remember seeing a Hindi movie
Where they were dancing in the rain
And every time I see the rain
That beautiful image comes to my brain
Some many have fall in love
Under the falling rain
While many have depend on it
To wash away their pain
We have to be thankful
For what we have in our life’s
For what we take for granted
Some fight for with gun and knifes
We have dish washer, car wash
We like to take a long shower
While some died of thirst
Every second of every hour
Some times we are selfish
And for simple things we complain
And for silly reasons
Like getting caught in the rain
