QUEST FOR HAPPINESS

FROM MY ROOFTOP  GARDEN, 02 DECEMBER 2016, MY PICTURE (c)

In our quest for happiness Much grief and suffering And Sometimes, even horrible situations we Have to overcome Because Searching for happiness is like searching for gold Where We have to dig a lot of dirt Just To find a tiny morsel of it But It worthwhile For The more toiling we do the more joy we feel When Finally, we hold it into the palms of Our hands: When happiness, at last, Floods our heart! - ... Happiness is not gold ... not a fireworks display in brilliant colors ... happiness comes with silence, like a little snowflake ... we must find it ourselves in our hearts - A beautiful poem, my friend Demetrios - hugs // Anne-Lise :)

My dearest, Anne-Lise, saying that the quest for happiness resembles the search for gold doesn't mean that I equate happiness with gold! Thank you for your lovely visit! Hugs!

Oh wow, not even close.... Cannot handle those Greek characters.... Demetrios, you are right - it is well worth it to get that tiny morsel.

Very rich description of what lies in life beneath the surface! One first must make the effort of course! Well said Demetrios! You have a golden way of expression!
