Proud Parrot

Proud Parrot

He’s such a cocky little bird
Head held high, and chest puffed out
He struts around, my heart is stirred
There’s a kind of silence all about.

He’s green, and blue, and beautiful
Yellow ring around his throat
He don’t care that the weather’s cool
He has a lovely sheeny coat.

A crested pigeon comes to feed
But he’s not there for long
Our Parrot, he gets wild, indeed
His will so very strong

His hunger staved he sits in tree
And whistles softly just for me.

You certainly have some beautiful ones, and Cockatoo's too. cost over £1,000 over here. they trap and kill them over there. Swanson's parakeets are my favourites. their so colourful. I have a huge picture of two on a wall. Thank you take care. Pete.

Four of the parrot we see are Cockatoos. we have the black Cockatoo, the corella, The Galah, and the sulphur crested. Then we have the seventy eight parrot, Another one with a crimson head, and the rainbow lorikeet. The black cockatoos are the largest parrot in Oz. I love them all. Thanks for your comments, my friend Peter
