Presidential Sweet

If I were the President at least for one day I’d build me a sandbox Where everyone could play I wouldn’t be a liar I’d gladly tell the truth No eye for an eye Or a tooth for a tooth The White House doors open Republicans, Democrats I’d welcome all people Great thinkers and cool cats I might not be popular With those who won’t change They might think I’m eccentric Or at the least a bit strange Because I’m not a politician Power ain’t my goal I wouldn’t worry about ballots or claim elections are stole I want a safe Nation With People who are Free But I won’t be President So you can’t count on me Inspired by Matt Caliri’s latest contest.

The Situation

Dreamfull Poets have oppinion and they can be as pure. But polititions have suspisions that if they don't follow the crowd they wont get followed.

Beautiful, wonderful flows and an easy to read rhyming scheme. I really enjoyed my read so well that I had to read again.. This is going straight to my fav.. What an amazing read... BACK TO REALITY NOW.... Most likely even before becoming a candidate for the hot seat, there is a 90% possibility you might be corrupted and these not really achieved. We wish and hope for these things but I am beginning to see that the playing field in these political realms are nowhere our perceptions. Great work!

A beautiful political plot twist. Lamoureux puts a love vibration in the air with a stimulating supposition. I am sure you can't do any worse than the first 44 or 45 LOL... Thank you for writing...Very easy to read and follow.

I used to be a fan of Reagan and Clinton until I watched the Documentary 13th Amendment. The War on drugs, 3rd strike laws and prisons for profit. I’m sure this is just the tip of the iceberg.

The first stanza had me laughing out loud ... the antics of some of the politicians are reminiscent of kids in a sandbox. Then there was the daft incident where he stared directly at the sun during the eclipse ... I suppose that one must draw the line somewhere as the examples of a mental meltdown are too numerous :)) ~Sus
