Pierced

She fell in love with body art He pierced her needs and won her heart. He pierced her tongue and both her lips He pierced her navel and her nose He pierced her ears with rings and clips He pierced the spots he deftly chose. He pierced her cheeks and by the eyes He pierced the parts that were unseen He pierced some places even twice He pierced with zest for she was keen. But on the day they broke apart He left his mark and pierced her heart. ---------------------------------------------- Contest: Pierced Sponsor: Rob Carmack

Wow! What magnificent poem, Paul. Straight to the point of letting me feel saddened for such soul. I admire the way you so creatively smooth out the harshness of the topic.

And, by the way I am glad you think my 'Basic Instinct' beats the film. You know why? (between you and me only), because it was "Personally experienced!!!"

This poem was entertaining and three dimensional in character. Good imagery and flow are both presented within these lines. Emile.

If people focused on piercing their troubles than their bodies probably less hearts would have been pierced! A magnificent poem on piercing transmitting a profound message on relationships ! Excellent piece of work, dear Paul!

Tattoos and piercing are considered body art, but they tend to take it toooooo far!! Glad you liked the poem but not the 'art':) Have a lovely weekend, Anne Lise:) hugs /x/ paul
